Okatsune 107 Hand Pruning Saw,wood sheath with 195 mm, Bonsai

I am a carpenter and have lots of saws for woodworking. This is a very excellent one. I could use it in the shop and it would work very well. I however wanted a saw for pruning my fruit trees. Something that would be subjected to moisture, sap and live wood and still hold up. This one is a bit expensive at $40, but I like it. It is just the right length, the handle is ergonomic and comfortable and the holster is well designed. You do have to wear a belt with this holster as it doesn't have a clip on it. The saw cuts very well. The result is a clean cut that can hopefully heal fast and fully. The teeth cut aggressively but also are small and numerous enough to not tear the wood fibers as much as a lesser blade. The saw cuts on the push and pull strokes. The blade kerf is close to 3/32" and has enough thickness to give it a solid rigid feel without it being to wobbly to make a good straight cut. A thicker blade would also require much more arm strength and remove much more wood material during the cutting process. I use this for up to 2" limbs. The small compact size of the saw makes it good for reaching up into tight, crowded spaces and still being able to cut with a short stroke. I carry this along with my  Okatsune 101 7-inch Bypass Pruners, Small  . With these 2 very well crafted tools in hand, I really feel like an artist out in nature, enjoying the art of pruning. Communing with the Earth.

Awesome, super star & a very well made sturdy product. Cuts like a charm & is like cutting thru butter with a very smooth action while sawing. Leaves a very nice clean cut with no tearing. I really like the wood sheath too!

I wish companies would stop putting overly adhesive stickers onto product where the sticker should be removed. Nothing that a little denatured alcohol won't take care of, but so annoying. The blade is held a bit too loose for me and am thinking of adjusting the strap or add a magnet to keep it from wobbling.

Every good thing other 5 stars said. I bought this to go with a bonsai tool kit, for limbs/trunks too large for plier type cutters. As well as perfect function, it's aesthetically pleasing and a well suited addition to a bonsai tool kit.

Lightweight. Durable. Easy. Makes pruning fun.

I would have given this 0 stars if it was possible as only the sheath arrived with no saw. WTF!!!
