Beautiful and soft product
I needed something to replace the disintegrating buckwheat hulls in my zafu. I decided on wool for its resistance to dust mites. This is my first purchase every of wool fill and I really love it. It is soft and the fibers are long. I probably need more than the 1 lb that I purchased, but I will try it as is for now. I appreciate that the wool is from non-mulesed sheep and I was willing to pay a premium for that. I hope that the sheep are raised free from other inhumane ranching practices as well.

Nice clean wool, felts nicely in my amateur cat toy making hands
My felting experience is pretty novice-- I only make cat toys as my cats love them and it is darn expensive to buy already made toys only to have the cats disappear with the toy five minutes later and hide it somewhere for months. As I overly love my cats, I learned to make the toys myself. This wool is quite nice and clean although it retains a slightly sheep-ish smell when I first got it. I thought my cats, for whom I was buying this wool, would love it even more Because of the smell. For some reason they prefer the artificial smelling balls of dyed wool. I don't understand it at all (maybe it is because they were "raised" on the fake stuff), however, I still use this wool as filler for sewed toys or as the base for toys I then cover in the more expensive pre-dyed wool. It works fantastically for that and felts quite well. It blends with other wools well too. I would buy it again.

Excellent product, light natural smell
I am spoiled now and I never want to use anything else to stuff fabric creations with.Super clean and soft. Smell: I’m not sure what people are talking about when they say this has a strong smell that they dislike. To me, it has a slight smell that I would describe as both “clean” and “natural.” Like the way some flowers that have “no fragrance” smell. Or how your wool jacket might smell if you’re caught out in the rain. Then, once it’s enclosed in the object you stuff, it’s barely detectable, and even then, it’s pleasant, to me. If you want a completely odorless stuffing, go with polyester fiber fill. I think this stuff is fabulous, I’m totally in love with it.

Clean, fresh, and cruelty free!
I loved everything about this wool! I used it to stuff my pillow as I am pillow comfort challenged. It was clean, odor free, and I sleep comfortably on it every night.

So much wool...So many cats! :)
I honestly wasn't expecting as much as I got!! Gonna make a herd of Cats!! Haha.. I'm very new to needle felting 3D and bought a cheap "starter kit", quickly realizing I needed more core wool for the shapes (Made a cat head, needed a body). I made the mistake of first purchasing a top wool which is blissfully silky, but does not mat well at all (see the body of the cat-Pic #1).After going down the proverbial Amazon Rabbit hole, I settled on this, thinking I'd get about. 6-10 inch square amount. It came in a bag that is about 14"x24"x8". It "feels" like more than a pound (Pic #2). I really liked how random the fibers were and it felted shapes really well (Pic #3).New body, legs and tail came together very well using this as my base (Pic #4. And..Yes, there is a Jewel needle in her head as it awaits attachment, but I need some more needles and a new Felting pad to complete this mini-kitty).Whether you enjoy making tiny creatures or really large ones.. There is plenty of wool in this bag to get you a long way!!

Bad smell-but put in sun!
I was looking forward to using this ultra filtered wool as a stuffing for my toddler’s first pillow. When removing it from packaging, it had a strong smell. I used baking soda, tried air drying, and was frustrated but after letting the wool sit in the sun for 2 days, the smell has faded significantly. The texture of the product is soft. It is very clean. I do recommend it but get ready for the smell.

Use for toys instead of polyfill
Im trying to use less plastic in my fiber arts hobbies and have started using it in my crocheted toys. I know you can’t wash the final result in a washer and I don’t know how it will behave long term when it comes to keeping form, but for now everything’s fine. There is definitely a smell, but it’s a very inoffensive smell of a clean animal in my unprofessional opinion, and I have to actually bring it up to my nose to smell it at all

Very soft, very clean.
I had been looking for a soft alternative for my pillow, don’t like foam pillows. This works great for me.
