So glad I could find these. They are scarce in the stores around here. They have always been my family's favorite. So good

Wow!!! These are the saltiest food product I’ve ever eaten. I like salt and pepper these are WAY too salty.

I see a lot of reviews stating that the sausages didn't taste quite like the red hots flavor that they were looking forward to. I had the same experience. The brine that they are in should have a sharp, tangy hot vinegar flavor. Instead, they taste more like a salt brine flavor more akin to pickled pigfoot. I don't know if it was a batch error or not.Flavor fix: I had already eaten two of them out the jar and remembered that I had saved several jars of red hot pickled sausage brine from previous store buys. I removed the sausages from this jar and placed 6 at a time in the smaller red hots jars, making sure they were fully covered with the different brand brine. I left them soaking overnight and tasted one. I was stunned that in just 24 hours, all the sausages now tasted exactly like red hots are supposed to...tangy and spicy with no salt water flavor at all. I suggest that you either look up recipes for red hots brine online, remove the brine in this jar, and replace with your own brine -OR- buy a small jar at the store, eat them, then move 5 or 6 sausages at a time into the smaller jar, replacing them with more sausages from this big jar as you eat them. They will quickly take on the new flavor.

I love these little sausages. They have just the right amount of heat to them, not to hot but yet hot enough. They also have excellent flavor. I have colitis so I am supposed to watch what I eat. These aren't something recommended for Colitis patients. No worries though, these sausages never bothered my colitis at all. About the only thing I can complain about is I would like to get a few more for the money and I wish I could get them as a subscription and have them delivered every month.

I recently purchased these sausages, excited to relive the flavors I fondly remembered. However, my anticipation quickly turned to disappointment after trying one. The taste was far from what I remembered - it was, frankly, horrible. It seems I received a bad batch, which was a surprising letdown.What makes this experience even more disheartening is the inability to get a refund. It's unfortunate that I now have to discard the rest, as they're not at all enjoyable. This was an unexpected turn of events, considering my previous positive experiences with this product.I hope this was a one-off issue, but it's left me hesitant to repurchase. For potential buyers, I'd recommend proceeding with caution. It's a shame when a product you've been looking forward to doesn't meet expectations, and even more so when there's no recourse for a refund or replacement.

I've been looking for a long time for a beer sausage that was hot to the taste that I use to enjoy back in the Deep South when I was a kid growing up. So far, I've not been able to find the sausage that rang my bell. These arrived quickly and they are tasty and I am glad that I did order these, however, they are not as good as the ones I use to eat when I was in my teens.I gave the product a 3 star rating because they were tasty, but not what I was expecting. I know many of you will enjoy these and you'll probably rate these as a 5 star item, but I must be honest to provide the best rating possible. The 3 stars were for the lack of qualilty in taste. They are not "hot" as one is led to believe. Hot makes you sweat, these do not.

My husband wanted me to get these sausages to try, because he hasn't been able to buy or find the Penrose sausages he use to buy years ago. He loves these. He's already ate the first big jar and I got his second jar yesterday. And I know I will be buying more. He eats a lot of them. Just wish the price was some cheaper. The big jar is plastic so it won't break as easy. My husband is so happy to find these.
