Flowmaster 17472 Force II Cat-back Exhaust System

One thing to be aware of is that if you don't already have dual exhaust you'll need to grab a couple of extra rubber hangers. I didn't think about this until I was already in the install process.The install for this was really easy and the sound quality is really good. Nice medium tone on my 5.4L. Nice sound at idle but not over powering, but you put your foot in it and it gains some volume. You can hear it going down the highway but it doesn't make conversation difficult or drown out the radio.That being said I have had thos on my truck for a little over a year now and the muffler is pretty rusty. Much rustier than I expected it to be. The chrome tops have held up very well but the muffler is rust covered and the pipes have started to show as well. But there doesn't appear to be any holes developing as of yet.Also it presses right up against the Class 3 trailer hitch attached to the frame. I used a couple of rubber caps to make sure they don't hit each other.Over all good sound and I suppose, for the price, it is fair quality. If you want something loud look elsewhere, but if you want a nice low to medium rumble this is a good option.

Kit did not fit as advertised. Drivers side hung four inches lower than right. Had to pay a shop to adjust kit. Had to make bend in the pipe and cut exhaust hanger that comes with kit. Cost another 150. Called flow master and they just told me they have no answers they may need to alter their kit. No help. Bought a more expensive name brand kit and this is how they treat you

This is the perfect flowmaster I always wanted. It's not too loud, that I wake up neighbors when I leave to go to work at 3:30 a.m. As I always say on all my reviews, the price is well worth it. I also put it on myself; very easy to do and save money, instead of taking it to the shop. If you looking for flows to get that don't wake your neighbors up - This is it!

this system rotted completely apart early 2015 just fell off. i would not buy this product, it is made of poor quality metal.

Flowmaster has a well engineered product and the installation went exactly as expected. My only feedback is the system was actually quieter than expected. Seat of the pants feel is i do have a bit more power from my 5.4 and gas milege is a bit better. I went the side exit route which was an extra step but well worth it. Thanks flowmaster for a great product for a do it yourselfer.

I'm getting better gas mileage now in my 2001 F-150. It also sounds great, but it's no so loud I'm going to disturb the peace in my neighborhood.

Gave my F-150 5.4l V8 a boost. Sounds rugged without waking up the neighbors early in the morning. Plus could feel more horsepower. Getting the old muffler off was a nightmare. If you don't have a Saws-All, I would borrow one, or better yet, buy one. Every American garage needs a Saws-All. I don't care much for the U-clamps, so I bought 6 Lap joint 2 1/2 " clamps. If your'e not welding the joints, Lap joint clamps are the way to go. Got a great price at "Rockauto".

Flowmasters 174722 Cat-back system was delivered prompty, however Fed Ex managed to destroy the box, luckily everything was there and in good shape. It only took a couple of hours to install this system the worst part was getting the old one off. I opted to run my exhaust out the sides for the original look, a little extra work but well worth it. This system is not loud and I'm thankful for that since I leave for work very early in the morning and my neighbors would probably shoot me if it was any louder. I have yet to check gas mileage but from what I've seen by the gas guage it has gone up. I would recommend this system to anyone looking for an affordable cat back system.
