Screen Protector for NEOGEO Mini – NesBull 9H Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for NEOGEO Mini Cosole [2 Pack ]

I bought these protectors because they were the only ones available for preorder before the launch of the Neo Geo Mini International here at Amazon.The package contains two protectors inside of a tiny black box (not just a cardboard sleeve like Hori protectors), as well as a cleaning cloth and some stickers that can be used for dust removal. The application instructions printed on the inside of the box are completely in Japanese. However, the actual peel off part of the protectors has English instructions.These protectors are actually tempered glass, meaning they're thin but very solid compared to Hori and similar protectors. There appears to be only one plastic sheet to peel off, unlike most protectors that have a peel-off sheet on both sides of the protector. You just peel off the sheet and stick the protector directly onto the Neo Geo Mini. It fits perfectly, which is nice.After applying the protector, about fifty percent of it had air trapped beneath the surface. This was very worrying. But I used the wipe to push the air out, after which it smoothed down perfectly. My application was a complete success.The other nice thing about these protectors (which costed $8 shipped at the time of my purchase) is that you get two in one package. So if you mess up, you get a second shot at applying one. Or you can save the extra protector for when the first one wears out.Amazon now offers an official option from SNK, but I'm happy with these protectors. If you have experience applying protectors, you should have no problem with these.

I read though other reviews and realized the problems were either a result of manufacturing defects, which on Amazon you're covered on a free replacement in the event of that. And others were result of of personal application issues.When receiving the kit, I had no idea this was going to be a proper product with sturdy packaging. Based on the name listed of the product and the product images, I figured it would work and that would simply be it. But care went into this.Patience is key with these things. The more time you spend on prep, the better the end result will be. Not rushing when applying. Trying to drop the glass from top to bottom, left some air at the bottom right corner. The bottom right corner has a small gap you can use to lift it back out. Can be seen in the images. This was designed for the ability to remove the glass if need be.I read others had damaged their screens attempting to do this, but with patience I was able to lift it out without any issue and re-set the glass, only this time right down on the center of the screen, and the air went from the center out to the sides and away.In the sun the glass was incredibly reflective. So I wanted to see how bad this would reflect from both natural and artificial lighting with the LCD powered. There was absolutely no difference between the screen with or without the glass. Only when the LCD was unpowered, was this noticeable.The screen almost looks better with a glass overlay. There is not a huge difference, and most may not notice it at all (which should be the point, you don't notice it) but I could see a slight difference, in a good way.Included Photos. One of each contents shown, actually comes with two of each of everything shown minus microfiber cloth (Only one), which is used for cleaning the GLASS ONLY. System display with glass reflection shown (OFF) and system display with no reflection shown (ON) as mentioned above.

They came with imperfections in the glass and once they are on are very hard to get off because the screen is sunk into the neogeo mini bezel. I actually damaged my actual screen trying to get the one that was too scratched from the box off because i had to pry it out. Worst glass screen protectors ive ever got and i have almost every handheld all with screen protectors. Unfortunately you cant tell if its not good until its on so these seriously are terrible.

I don’t recommend these. I used both included glass protectors and neither would lay flat with no bubbles. Be careful not to damage your screen, they are hard to remove and apply.

Nice piece of nostalgia.Fun to play every once in a while.Recommend getting the controller if you plan to connect to the TV

I'd give it a zero if I could. It comes in a two pack, my first one was broken and the second the bottom half of it wouldn't stick and now I can't return it. So great.

Easy to apply. Instructions were in Asian language, however, YouTube videos explained how to install in English.
