Best tree stand ever purchased
This the best tree stand we have ever purchased. We have bought many over the years and they did not stand the test of time. This is one is compact but sturdy and easy to use.

First Impression - It's a tank!
Update: First Christmas using this stand. Overall it's great. Getting the tree in was *much* easier, but not quite as easy as I was expecting. The tree was netted, but I still had trouble getting it positioned in the stand. It took another person to help guide the trunk into the approximate center of the stand. After it was positioned, I held the tree with one hand and pressed on the pedal to close the clamps in on the trunk. I think this stand is a bit too big for the tree that I got. I had to close in the clamps a lot (like 4-5 presses on the pedal) to get it to hold tight. We usually get trees that are between 6-7 feet tall with trunks that run maybe 4-ish inches in diameter.Once the tree was clamped in, it is *very* secure. The old 3-screw stand would allow the tree to sway back and forth, and heaven forbid a kid or the dog runs into the tree...it would topple over. This Krinner stand keeps the tree secure, it doesn't move, even when pushed. So I'm sold. If you plan on having live Christmas trees for the next 10+ years, get one of these. You'll only use it for a month or two a year, but it's worth it.Disclaimer: It's May, and I haven't actually put a tree in this stand yet. This is a review based on first impressions. I'll post an update after Christmas.I'm always irritated in December when I try to put the stand on the Christmas tree. The result is usually a tree that is leaning into the corner of the room where it's set up. I kept on thinking that there has to be a better way. That's when I discovered Krinner. This thing puts all other tree stands to shame. It's huge. It's HEAVY. It's got metal in it. I tested the foot lever action that should grab hold of the tree (in 5 places). It is easy to press and smooth. One issue is that I had a little problem getting the release to work. I had to read the manual a couple of times. I was afraid I was going to break it, so I wanted to be careful. I eventually got it to release.

Best tree stand ever!
After a frustrating hour with a Home Depot plastic stand trying to get a very nice 5 foot tree we bought there mounted and straight, I finally gave up in a very bad mood. The biggest problem was that the tree has a small trunk (about 3 inches) and after trying to drive the plastic stand into the bottom of the trunk with a hammer, I ended up making a hole in the plastic. So, I decided to go on Amazon and see if they had anything better. This stand had good reviews, and looked like it could hold any size trunk, so I bit the bullet and paid a little more than twice what I paid for the crap plastic stand for this beauty. I received it two days later (yay prime!) unboxed it, read the instructions, and decided to try and put up the tree by myself. In literally 5 minutes, I had the tree mounted securely in the stand, perfectly straight, with no help. To say this made my day is an understatement. It also looks 100% better than any tree stand we've ever had and is very stable, even though its diameter is rather small (which makes it look better). Thank you Krinner for making Christmas cheerful again.

Favorite Christmas purchase
I was eyeing this stand for a few years. I finally purchased it last year. Even my partner who says I make bad decisions and buy unnecessary stuff said “this is the best item you’ve ever bought.”No more screws, tilting, repositioning, tilting again, tightening, unscrewing. You know the drill. I also ended up buying a thin tree once that the regular stand was too wide. So… I bought it last year and never looked back. So quick and easy. You just place the tree, couple foot pumps, cling and you are done. Also, it’s easy to water without overflowing. Same easy disassemble. It’s heavy weight, so the tree doesn’t tip over. It’s worth every penny. We spend so much money on trees, this is a one time investment that will last for a long time. It’s works like a charm.

Why didn't I get this sooner?!
For the last however many years I've been using one of the old heavy iron type stands with four giant screws. Hated every minute of it, it was always frustrating and then it would have a mind of it's own. Spending so much time on the floor, getting up, looking at it, going back on the floor, adjusting it, just a complete nightmare. Don't even get me started on the watering of the tree either! It's the holidays, they're supposed to be stress free and last year I had just about had it with my old tree stand....and convinced myself to get a new one.I started with the process of researching early this year and had my heart set on this tree stand. I ordered it early enough, it showed up way ahead of time and came in a sturdy manufacturer box inside an ok Amazon box. Instructions were simple, pull the stabilizing legs out, unlock two little switches, make sure you're wearing shoes...not slippers, unless you have a good sturdy set...make sure the tree is on the little spike in the middle and then just press the pedal until it's snug....that's it. Just go back, and lock up the locks and you are absolutely done....except for watering. This model comes with a gauge that is most helpful, now you don't have to guess. The details on the main page mention it can hold a gallon, but I don't think that's accurate. I think it's more like a half. When I mix my water and liquid tree food, it took about a half gallon before the red line on the gauge came up. Get this tree stand....and the long funnel, you'll be more than pleased!
