Very Nice Product
A very nice product, compatible with almost all motherboards. Provides exact speed of USB 3.0. Easy to install & better performance even when both two USBs are in use.

Simply AWESOME !
Really awesome !Used it on my Gigabyte H61M-D2H motherboard which had only USB 2.0 slots.I attached it to my PCI-E extra pin slot .Speeds to my USB 3.0 WD My Passport Ultra External HDD went up to 140 Mbps READ speed & 70-90 Mbps WRITE speed. Also my SanDisk OTG USB 3.0 32 GB gives a READ Speed of 120 Mbps and WRITE speed of 30 Mbps.I am extremely happy with this product.Totally worth it.Instead of changing my motherboard i simply attached this.

It seems that there are two different chipsets for the USB controller and the one i got (NEC) wasn't playing nice with the drive
It is okay.Gets the job done, but i had a hard time getting the drivers to work in Win 7 x64.It seems that there are two different chipsets for the USB controller and the one i got (NEC) wasn't playing nice with the drivers listed at Transcend's official website.Frustrated, I searched various forums and found that vendor id is different i.e.,VEN_1912.Installed the correct driver and the card started working like a charm.Would have given it a five if it weren't for the hassle of finding correct drivers which should have been listed on the official transcend page in the first place. If anyone has the same problem, go to pcidatabase and look up the vendor mentioned in the Hardware-ID.You should be able to find the correct driver.

For those who use USB 2.0 still can go for this.
It works perfectly on win 7 32bit.Got speed upto 60-75MBPS.. Downloaded driver from Transcend website and installed it. It's working perfectly. One thing to say Transcend can put drivers cd in the box.

Two Stars
Doesn't work with Western Digital drives on Linux. USB 3.0 works when used with other brand drives

Three times the speed of USB 2.0
Important : For anyone who is having trouble using this while using a molex power connector, install the driver with SATA power connector. (TS-PDU3/PDC3 Driver (uPD720202) (with SATA power connector)).Now for the review.I have long been meaning to add a USB 3.0 card to my aging rig but was split between running an SLI setup using my second PCI-E slot or adding a 3.0 card. Finally limitations of my wallet and a dire need to take a full system backup meant that I purchased a USB expansion card.First purchase of an HP card turned out to be a cheap Chinese dud, so I chose this Transcend card. I am happy to say that I do not regret the choice.Previously I got an average speed of 25 MB/sec when copying files onto my Seagate 5TB external HD. With this card that has shot up to an average of 90 MB/sec. I couldn't be happier.I would however by lying if I said it did not take some unwarranted effort to install this thing. The RENSAS drivers that are supposed to be downloaded from Transcend website for installation on systems running any pre Win 8 OS can cause issues. I use the molex connector for power supply and accordingly I downloaded the non-SATA power connector driver. Installed, reinstalled it thrice, tried different solutions given online it did not work. Then on a whim installed the driver with SATA power connector and bam, it started working. Very odd.Anyway that's the reason it's 4 stars and not 5.

Scambio dati velocissimo! Ottima scheda!
La scheda è perfetta per aggiungere porte usb 3.0 in una scheda madre che ne è sprovvista di qualche anno fa. Montata è stata riconosciuta subito e funziona benissimo. Scambio dati velocissimo!

good price and solves my problem
Making use of the ePCI surely extends my PC into the usb 3 world and avoids having to buy a new PC just for that

Good add on adapter
This was a good addition for my computer. Easy installation instructions to follow. The only problem i had was that after i installed the card first as instructed for windows 7, the computer would not boot up completely. I needed to remove the card and load the driver first. Dont know why it only worked like that, but then it worked flawlessly with my new 3.0 hard drive. Data transfer speed was noticably faster than with the usb 2.0. Also, the addition of a power adapter on the card is a nice addition for power to connected devices. And Just a reminder, The card does not come with usb 3.0 or power adapter cables for the power connector so order as needed.

Super Value
I read every product review, good & bad, about this card, before making my purchase almost 12 months ago. Those reviews made it clear that this card, which has 2 USB 3.0 ports, has a Molex connector that needs to be connected to the PSU in my Windows 7 based PC. My PSU had several spare SATA connectors but sadly no Molex.I could have bought a SATA to Molex adaptor but my existing cable would not have been long enough to reach the adaptor. Happily, I found a cheaper & easier solution. I simply bought a cable from Amazon (Akasa AK-CBPW03-15 SATA PSU Power to 4 Pin Molex Connector Adaptor) for about £2 at the same time as the card. This has a SATA connector at one end & a Molex at the other end - problem solved.I am no techie but I fitted both card & cable quickly & easily before downloading the appropriate driver for Windows 7. In my case, this was a Renesas Electronics USB Host Control Driver version 2.1.25.0.The card worked immediately & has continued to do so for the last year. In my experience, this card & the cable represent superb value at about £12 for both. I could not award less than 5*.The supplier's boast that it is up to 10 x faster than USB 2.0 is exaggerated. I use this USB 3.0 card for my WD portable HDD 1 TB & find it is about 2.5 times faster than my existing USB 2.0 ports. I think this is true of all makes of such cards - unless they have become more sophisticated since my purchase. Nonetheless, I am delighted to have 2 extra USB ports, both of which are 2.5 times faster than my other ports for a measly £12.
