I like using this Voltarol pain relief and it really helps to alleviate pain in my knees and my lower back and the good thing is that I have no adverse side effects . It is not sticky and is easy to rub into the affected area , no smell and is good value for my money . I shall be ordering more .

Helped relieve my ankle pain. Smell isn't too strong.

I used this intensively for tennis elbow deep tissue massage 2-3 times a day and when I started Naproxen, I stopped obviously. I actually feel this is better than oral Naproxen. Try it for tennis elbow as a deep tissue massage aid. You might shorten your tennis elbow pain and suffering!

Voltarol is a leading brand and I've heard good stuff about it, so I figured I'd buy some for some aching joints and muscle sores, and it seems to work - sometimes. I can't really explain it, some days I've used this stuff and the pain has faded within 5 minutes and it doesn't return for practically the whole day, and then other days it doesn't do anything at all despite being applied in the same place with the same amount of gel. When it works it works though. I used it a lot on stiff, tight muscle groups and also around ankle and knee joints. It's useful stuff to have on hand, but I do believe there are better options out there. Especially if you're prone to aches and pains in the colder weather, this stuff doesn't really seem to do much to combat the cold so you might want to double it up with some tiger balm or something else. Seems to have trouble sinking in, too. I've used other products in the past including a hemp based pain relief jelly and that stuff has no trouble sinking into your skin (or at least drying up) but this gel hangs around for a while and makes your skin feel greasy / slippery. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, though. I ended up giving it away to a family member and they had a nasty reaction from it, it caused the places they applied to gel to come up in an extreme bump over the entire area, turned bright red and extremely hot. Ironically helped to soothe their aches and pains, but not in the most ideal of circumstances. I don't think you can really blame a product for a bad reaction though. Either way, hit or miss. I can't fault the product when it works, I just wish it was more reliable.
