Just do it!
I was on the fence about these. They seemed expensive for the features they have... but I just didn't like any other options and didn't want to cut my dash. I installed today with some memphis 6x9s and 5.25s and was highly impressed. Loud, clean, and simple to opperate.

Great fit and sound
Really like the options and sound. Looks retro and love the blue tooth / aux options

My personal experience
Cheap low output, blutooth falls out then you have to repair. When turning off the radio, the radio does a power surge that makes my subs rumble. Small 3X3 circuit board that drives the unit. WISH I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK.

Less expensive than NOS plus USB, Bluetooth, and AUX input.
Not the easiest to install into a dash, the "L" brackets for the shafts interfere with the outer bezel when moved forward for proper shaft support.

If you want knobs to match your vehicle $30
This is my second retro radio in 5 years, I’m disappointed the last one lasted so little time when I only used it in the summer for evening drives. It seems ungodly expensive and when I installed it in my cj5 as a direct replacement the knobs wouldn’t fit without covering the screen. I’m not altering my Jeep dash so I called retro sound for a solution. Basically the answer was “pound sand”. It’s working now and after ordering smaller knobs from retro sound it looks like it belongs. Of coarse the knobs were another $30.

Costly
A product that started out as 350$ cost more than 500$. ya, I am real happy.

Broke after 2 year- terrible company.
I really loved the radio at first it was great. Lots of cool features hooked up to my phone. After two years, it just suddenly lost power. I called retro sound customer service I was told I could purchase another one for $300 because it was out of the one-year warranty. They got me! I asked if they would at least work with me halfway. It wasn’t like I was using the radio irresponsibly it was working fine and then it broke. I get it, when you pay China to build a product you can expect some of them to break. It’s just really too bad that retro sound put that cost on to me. The customer service rep at retro sound was smug and found joy that he didn’t have to help me. Poor quality, poor customer service. At this point it’s not even about the $300 I spent on a radio I used 4 times It’s about principal. Buyer beware.
