The Ultimate Maze Book (Dover Brain Games & Puzzles) Paperback – Illustrated, September 1, 2005

I used this maze book for a calm room at a recent junior high event. The book was fantastic and just challenging enough for students. I was surprised how popular it was and highly recommend it!

Trying to find a unique birthday gift for son-in-law. Saw this one and very glad I ordered it. He will have hours of fun and such a reasonable price! Great gift for anyone!

I think this is a good maze book but has some mazes that are quite unordinary and not really geared toward younger children.

From my 9 year old: "I like the different types of mazes and how it tells you how hard the maze is at the top. I also like how the maze book is organized and how it has good instructions for the mazes and each type of maze starts of easy and gets harder and harder. I feel really excited when I complete a hard maze. I recommend this maze book to other people who like good challenging mazes."

I wanted a maze book and this has only some mazes. There are other puzzles thrown in. Some of them are too complicated for the 11 yr old I bought it for. I wouldnt purchase again.

If you want to book that'll get your brain moving this is it. These are not your simple everyday childlike mazes. these are very complex and have different rules for different types. They are fun and entertaining. Some can be a little too difficult for my child and I've even had trouble with a couple myself. But not so terrible that it takes the fun away.As a family, we are enjoying them!

The mazes in here were so original. There are 5-6 different "categories" of mazes in the book, each section containing 3-5 mazes, for a total of 30 mazes. Furthermore each maze is ranked with a "difficulty" ranging from easy to "overload", as they call it. The hardest maze took me well over two hours -- and yet, it was not "impossible" to solve -- it just took some novel thought and clever problem solving. I had never known I could become so "familiar" with a maze, in the way one becomes familiar with roads of a new locale, until I read this book. It was a complete delight.
