5GAL Fence Post Paint

I have a 26-year old fence with over 70 fence posts. I got tired of spraying them with cedar stain every four years. The permeating and restorative qualities of this product is nothing like I have ever seen for restoring old fence posts. Permeates DEEP, DEEP, DEEP and dries (at 70F and above) in an hour. I don't have to rip out my 70 fence posts and replace them with 70 new fence posts. Let that sink in. Word of caution. This product permeates like nothing you have ever seen before. I predict from my first observations of the depth this product permeates that it will extend my 70 fence posts by at least ten years. I am not lying here - that is how impressed I am with this product. Application: ROLL ON with a narrow (3") roller made for heavy materials. It rolls on incredibly smooth. A STAIN BRUSH is recommended, or just some cheap brush that has a high soaking capacity. You will be amazed at how easy it is to apply this product. I took several 1 gallon bleach bottles, cut out a "U" just under the handle, and those work fantastic for holding this and dipping your brush (or 3" roller) into while you go down your fence line. CAUTION: Anything this gets on is going to suck it up like you would not believe. Plan on throwing away any cloths you are wearing when you apply this - you will NEVER get it out. DON'T APPLY THIS and then get in your car or truck - YOU WILL RUIN your car seats (LoL). If you are going to apply this on wood in an area where you don't want splatter droppings - USE A HEAVY PLASTIC DROP CLOTH, and one this will not permeate through onto your floor or concrete porch. You won't get this stuff off of anything it comes in contact with - SO BE WARNED! Wear a LONG-SLEEVED shirt (that you plan on throwing away). Seriously, it will ruin anything you are wearing when you apply it. Wear HEAVY RUBBER GLOVES, and not the flimsy gloves. This will dry so quick it will seal your glove to whatever container you are dipping your roller out of. I highly, highly recommend this product for restoring old fence posts. It saved me tons, and tons, and tons of work!

This paint is the way to go. covers perfect spreads perfect & goes along way long with a great price the color last dries fast. take your time & stir well with a stick worth the time if so do the job with 1 coat BUY IT YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG

I've used this multiple times on my wood fence. The color is a deep black. It is a quality, thick paint that will last when applied generously. I suggest you use rubber gloves and a throw away brush and paint pan to make clean up easier.

I used this paint to paint some railroad ties that were installed as a retaining wall. I had used Rustoleum two years ago and the ties looked terrible two years later. This paint did a great job. The paint goes on easy and the ties now look like brand new. It is a nice deep black color and so far they have held up under several down pours of rain. If they hold up through the winter I will be impressed since keeping paint on railroad ties that have creosote on them is not the easiest thing to do. If things change I will update this post. Update: 04/25/8/2019 I see that the paint did not hold up well through the winter on the railroad ties. I will have to repaint again this year. I don't think anything will work on railroad ties except for the creosote and you can no longer buy it because it is illegal to use it here in the USA now. Update: 08/15/20 This stuff is crap paint. It does not hold up on any surfaces I have used it on. I have used it over the past two years to paint the railroad ties over again and it does not hold up at all. I have used it on steps made of pine wood and the paint came off the following year. I have used it on plywood and it starts to come off in a couple months. I would not buy this crap if it was the last paint on earth. I am sorry if I misled anyone from my original post. I would not buy this stuff again.

Fantastic price for a 5 gal bucket. Even though it says it can be sprayed with an industrial sprayer, I have found that to be incorrect. It's very very thick. We opted to roll it but it is even too thick for that. We decíded to dilute it at a 1 to 5 ratio. We were nervous about it but for what we were doing we weren't too hesitant. I'm glad we did as it did not alter the color or quality of the paint and at that ratio ran thru our sprayer. Our livestock fence is such a bright, clean and protected blàck color now. We could not be more pleased.

This stuff is amazing. The only thing better would be if it could be sprayed. The inability to spray it is actually a pretty big drawback, but it still works well and coats pretty much perfectly on first application.

Outstanding

It's asphalt base and is almost exactly like foundation waterproofing. The foundation waterproofing is twice the money. Going to paint everything with this for now on. It doesn't dry super hard and you can stick your thumbnail into it but it sticks to anything and doesn't peel off. I've even painted over dirt and it worked well

Super thick. Great coverage and colour - I bought 5 pails and they only received 3 - waiting to see if they help me and deliver the others I’ve paid for. UPDATE- the customer service was great. Refunded my money for undelivered pails. I would buy again given this confidence in the seller and how nicely the product works
