For its price, it's alright. It is just a little over $5, considering that, it holds its shape very well when opened and good wind power. When closing it back, it is not smooth, as in you have to manuver the bottom area to match up and close back up. You can't open and close very easily, as it will get stuck closing up each time. And maybe because it's new? But opening it up in one flick of the wrist does not work either, maybe the binding is a little tight still.The size of it is not too big but not tiny either. When opened up, it's about the length of two hands and a half? The size is also compared to a 8x11 copy paper in the picture.The overall quality is that of a $5 fan, not breaking apart but not super strong either. The top edges are lined with what looks like masking tape? I think it will start fall apart if you use it A LOT.The bamboo sticks of the fan seem very delicate and flexible (because it's so thin), it's not very thick and strong, so I think it could break easily if dropped or a lot of pressure is put on it while the fan is open.I gave it 4 stars because just for the price, it does its job as a hand fan and the fabric seems pretty sturdy, but honestly, it's not too smooth to use.

I bought this fan to whip out whenever I have middle-aged lady internal warming spells. I just didn't like the idea of the little battery-operated fans. All function and no form. The folding fan appeals to my mildly eccentric flare. Anyway, this fan is perfect. Well-made. Durable. Attractive.

Summer is here, and my wife is ready for it. She wanted an attractive fan to keep in her purse and particularly to use during church (our church doesn't have AC). She is very pleased with this fan. The only downside is that it would be nice to have it in a case, even a cloth one. But it works well and looks great. I use one of those tiny hand-held electric fans, and I have to set it on low or else it will make a noise. Obviously my wife's fan makes no noise whatsoever. The only difficulty was choosing over all the many design options, a good problem to have.

These worked out great. I ordered these for my mother-in-law and I for church. They're really good quality and sturdy, and one of the better hand fans I've owned. I would put them as being worth a 10-15 dollar price, just based on quality. They seem like they'll last a long time, they're glued well, and they do fine getting knocked around in my suitcase of a purse.

I love fans, and I always carry one with me. I got this one because I also love stars and I wanted one that was a little less 'traditional.' I love the pattern and color. It's sturdy and I think it will stay that way for a long time. In fact it's a little stiff, really, probably because the fabric is coarser than most for fans. I do actually have to make the effort to hold it all the way open, but it is loosening up a little with use. Great quality, I love it.

To be fair a 3 year old got ahold of it and broke it. But it was pretty much the same quality of those cheap fans given away at weddings as favors or something to fan yourself while you wait for the wedding to get started. I had such a fan and it lasted years. This one, snapped and broke within one day of getting it.

This was worse than a dollar store fan. The color was way off, like it was in the sun for several days. Very faint pattern. Went to use it once out of tge box and it fell apart in my hands. Mit worth my time or effort to retirn it. Go to the $$$ store if you need fans.

I bought this fan in two different patterns to wear with Regency costume, but they're also study enough to put in packet or purse for use on hot days. The cream colored one with rosebuds is especially pretty.
