Works as advertised.
The media could not be loaded. Worked great for my project paired with a time delay relay.

Powerful Long Throw Solenoid.
I needed a long throw solenoid to make a remote latch release mechanism and this did the job. However, take note, as specified, the current draw is nominally 8 amps. So, make sure the wiring and power supply are sized correctly for a 12 VDC, 8 Amp load.

Need "Tech Support" to determine if product is defective
This item is not working properly. I expected the actuator to move to fully extend with power applied, and to spring return when power was disconnected. Instead, the actuator repeatedly extends then retracts making a loud hammering noise. Is there a "tech support" that I may contact, or should I just return the product and request a new one?

Works great!
Needs a tie down on the pull end.

Worth Your Money
This solenoid was very worth the money, it is big, strong, and very easy to use. Using it in various projects. I love it!

Works great, but would shoot for 1/10th of a second activation
This in my reality is a push solenoid with a spring pull back to the starting position. Using with an optical relay, car battery, and D1 8266 controller. Firing the solenoid for 1/10 to 1/5th of a second does not warm up the coil but going long to a half second you can feel it warm up after a few shots. Using this in a counter weighted halloween pop prop and it does really well.

This device works best as an intermittent device. It will overheat if it is activated for too long.
The solenoid is being used to pull the trigger on the chainsaw at the end of a pole. I am using 12V from the tractor battery to pull the solenoid. The solenoid meters out at 1.2 Ohms which means 10 amps at 12V but may be getting 13-14 V from the tractor electrical system. I have to hold the trigger on while cutting a branch. The solenoid does heat up and after a few tries it will NOT push hard enough to pull the trigger. I noticed the note on the webpage so I need a different solenoid for this application.

good
Be aware that this is "push", there is no connection for "pull". Since it is magnetically driven it starts out pretty weak but finishes strong. I had to relocate the solenoid a further from my piece so it would be strong enough to apply the appropriate force.
