I've been a Votivo fan for many years. I have tried many candles over the years from ones I found at Tuesday Morning and TJ Maxx to fancy/expensive brands to homemade varietals by local small business owners. I can't afford to spend major dime on candles and not that Votivo is inexpensive by any means, but you do get your bang for your buck with Votivo. Their candles put off such a rich, expansive scent that can be enjoyed across at least a room or two rather than just in one small area and they last a really long time. If you're gifting, they come in a beautiful and sturdy box and either are in a nice, clear glass container or they have some other fun designs on occasion, often for around the same price. Personal opinion: The honeysuckle scent is my preference for spring/summer: it's light, pretty, soothing, floral, and just heavenly. For fall/winter (or for me, even year round, because it's so good) is Red Currant. I don't know how to describe this scent really--it's not fruity and doesn't smell like your typical fall food scents or like Christmas/winter scents. It's unique, earthy but subtly sweet (and I do NOT like sweet candle scents like vanilla, pumpkin spice, coconut, sugar cookies, etc.), calming, and warm. To me, the smell brings a sense of sitting by a warm fireplace, low ambient light, jazz playing, a few friends/loved ones talking easily or solo with a good book, glass of red or bourbon or hot tea in hand (pick your poison). It's comforting, cozy, inviting, and lovely.

Votivo Red Currant has been the gift I keep giving for over 14 years. Brought as a gift to lots of great celebrations and using at home. Love this scent.

When you see that one of your adult children carries on a favorite scent, you know it's good. Haven't bought this candle in years but now returned after loving it all over again on a visit to her home. Why did I stop buying this favorite? Cost savings. But when this is such an original, outstanding scent, I couldn't justify NOT buying it again. Crisp and bold, special scent unlike any other, clear clean appeals to all genders, it's worth a try if you're not familiar. If you know this classic, just go ahead and get it again here. Cool. Attractive. Lasts a long time. Memorable. Exotic. Not cloying, more masculine than anything floral. Androgynous candle lol.

This is my favorite candle to burn! I usually cover it up to snuff because it does produce a lot of smoke ! Totally worth the price !

The candle provides a nice ambience and lasts a long time. The scent is subtle, FYI, if you’re looking for a stronger scented candle.

I love the smell of this candle. It smells like essential oils without a perfume scent and it burns cleanly. I've been using this candle for 20 years and always go back to it, even when I experiment with other brands. I appreciate the price and think Votivo makes the best candles that are similar to ones in the $60 to $100 range but only cost $35.
