Great for hip surgery recovery!
I am very happy I purchased this for my right hip labral tear surgery. I purchased this INSTEAD of buying the expensive ice machine. I also purchased extra ice packs by the same brand so I could always have a really cold one ready. This was perfect. I found that three ice packs was exactly what I needed for the whole day to ensure they were cold enough. I also loved the compression this provided. I think that also helped my pain. The wrap is really high quality and the Velcro was really good. The ice packs stayed cold for at least 20-30 minutes. Because they naturally warm over time, I felt comfortable leaving it on until I needed the next one, mostly because I enjoyed the compression and didn’t want to get up. I also loved that I could move around freely with this. You can’t do that with the ice machine. I recommend this to anyone with hip surgery. I purchased the large size despite being a size medium. I loved the large size and coverage. I would buy this over and over again.

Best Portable Cold Therapy on the Market!
I bought the ActiveWrap Back Wrap and Hip Wrap for my wife, who was having both back and hip issues. The product works exceptionally well! Please read the review I left for the ActiveWrap Knee Wrap, which I recently used to recover from a Total Knee Arthroplasty (eg: total knee replacement). I am pasting the Knee Wrap review below. Everything I wrote for the Knee Wrap applies to the Back and Hip Wrap. Just get it... best on the market!I found a video review of ActiveWrap products on YouTube when perusing Knee Replacement Rehab suggestions. The Physical Therapist (with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy) reviewed a large variety of portable joint wrap products, and ActiveWrap was determined to be the best, largely due to the duration of cold that the wrap provides with continuous use, and the fact that it was designed by a Physical Therapist with all of the necessary features of a superior product. That was a good enough testimonial for me to make a purchase and put it to the test.I had one of my knees replaced recently, and in addition to aggressive PT, elevation, and rest, the ActiveWrap Knee Wrap was instrumental in getting me to -2° extension and 125°+ flexion, 2 weeks post-op of my TKA. These wraps maintain an incredible level of COLD for 2 or more hours. Once I began outpatient PT (4 weeks post-op), I brought the ActiveWrap Knee Wrap in to show my Physical Therapist. After wearing the wrap for 45 minutes prior to my appointment, she was amazed at how cold it was! This is the first knee wrap that will not fall down around my ankle with active use, even with slippery synthetic sweat pants on. Both the compression and adjustability are exceptional. By using more or fewer cold packs (which stick to the neoprene wrap using Velcro), you are able to target the cold at a specific area of your joint, or you can bathe the entire joint in bone-chilling cold! It feels absolutely wonderful and beats rotting your digestive system with high doses of NSAIDS.When I wanted to purchase some extra Microban cold-pack sleeves, Customer Service and Sales were extremely quick to respond to my e-mail and were incredibly helpful. I cannot recommend Active Wrap products, and the Active Wrap company, strongly enough! You won't be disappointed!

Hip ice pack
So far so good. With bad shoulders it's a bit hard to get on. But it fits good once I get it where it us supposed to be

Bought this for my dad who hurt his hip a few years ago. He is so happy with the design and support of this brace.

Size
Did not fit like the picture showed. I'm 5'1 and 118 lbs. It would not wrap around my leg

Disappointed with product usability & refund policy
I did not purchase this wrap/brace for the heat/cold therapy but I bought it to help stabilize my hip during my everyday activities while I'm still going through PT. My problems with the product:1) it cannot be worn under my clothing2) it is non-refundableDO NOT purchase this product unless you're absolutely sure it will fit and it marks all your checboxes for what you need in a wrap/brace.I recommend placing the unrefundable notice in the product information where it is more noticeable by customers. If I'd seen it, I would not have purchased the product.

FINALLY COMFORT, backed by responsive company
I have used this exact brace in the past for a hip injury that caused groin strain and sciatic issues. So when I reinjured my hip recently the first thing I did was purchase another one (previous one was lost in a move). Which proved to be another smart choice. It has allowed me to work with reduced discomfort. Other braces I’ve tried had a narrow strip of thin/moldable material on exterior hip that provided only minimal local support if any at all. This brace by contrast offers more regional support thanks to the width, length and sturdiness of the external hip support.I had a defective brace about 1yr ago that ripped at one of the seams after heavy use: I wear it at work as an ER/ICU nurse 12 hrs a day. I simply sent the company pictures with proof of purchase date and they sent me a new one! Mind you it was within the first 12 months of use but to have a new brace delivered in under a week was great!Only down side is I wish it came with two inner leg straps. I am “thick” and the one strap stretches over time and at times doesn’t feel as supportive as it should b/c of how narrow it can get from the stretch. I resolved this with using my old braces inner strap with my new one or in past have utilized Velcro/elastic band that I had made by a tailor- to mirror the original. But this still doesn’t reduce my endorsement of this device.Overall, I am never disappointed when wearing this, well worth the investment.
