This book is a delight! If you have Scandinavian heritage, this will be your "go-to" cookbook for heritage treats. Indeed, ALL cooks will cherish this book, not only for the superb recipes, but also for the stunning photos and historical vignettes on each page which feature interesting details relating to the recipe's history and country of origin. My friends compliment me on all the results yielded from these recipes, most recently the Rhubarb Custard Tart. The author has a companion cookbook, Scandinavian Classic Baking, which is equally a treasure for your kitchen cookbook shelf. I have gifted several copies of both volumes to friends and relatives. Thanks, Pat Sinclair and photographer Joel Butkowski, these are classics!

From someone who grew up in a Scandinavian household, I would call this cookbook a winner!
This cookbook is a winner! Growing up in a Scandinavian household, many of the recipes included are reminiscent of my childhood. The use of cardamom and berries, the rice pudding and rosettes. I've tried several of the recipes and loved them all. The instructions are easy to follow and I love that there's a photo to go along with each recipe, as well as a bit of history or background. I find the recipes to be very authentic, and easy to follow. No need for crazy obscure ingredients for the most part.I made the Raspberry Shortbread today for Christmas and they are amazing. I have already gotten so many compliments and requests for the recipe. Of course I'm recommending anyone who asks buy a copy of this beautiful cookbook.

A great little book!
My husband is of Norwegian ancestry and we've visited Norway and enjoyed their desserts. These are great, authentic recipes that are easily duplicated in my kitchen.

Great recipe book, but it arrived with sticky pages
I have owned a copy of this recipe collection before, and was delighted it was still available. Unfortunately, the copy I received had sticky pages, and some of the pictures were smudged.

Beautful Little Book
Lovely book with glossy pages, beautiful photos and wonderful recipes. I also bought ‘Scandinavian Classic Baking’ and was very happy with that book for the same reasons.

Libro ben fatto con splendide immagini che non possono mancare in un valido libro di cucina. È indispensabile sapere l'inglese perchè il libro è stampato solo in questa lingua mentre per le misure in cup e spoon si impara a destreggiarsi velocemente. Se poi non volete complicarmi troppo la vita con conversioni varie potete acquistare sempre su Amazon gli appositi misurini per spoon e Cup. Io ho acquistato questo libro perché sempre su Amazon avevo acquistato Scandinavian classic baking della stessa autrice e siccome ero rimasta molto soddisfatta ho voluto prendere anche questo volume ed è stata una piacevole conferma. Lo consiglio.

Beautiful & Delicious
As a big fan of Scandinavian Baking, Pat Sinclair's first book, this book did not disappoint. Not only is it a beautiful design, the recipes are delicious, feature easy to find ingredients and I enjoy the little snippets of history and culture included on the page.
