The missing piece
For longest time since I have learned to make rotis, I have thought they turned out mediocre. What I grew up eating was phulka and I simply couldn’t get that on a tawa skillet. This has finally made me so happy. The roti’s puff up perfectly and if you do it correctly, the time taken to make rotis is much lesser. I have a ceramic top electric stove and this works perfect. If you have a job and cooking after a work day is less loved chore and making phulkas even dreaded ones, this might just be the little helper you need. Frankly was sick and tired of frozen rotis and tandoori naan and nothing can beat a lovely puffed phulka.

It does its work but quality of the product is not very good. The wire is already melting/chipping in places which can cut your hand is you are not careful. I would expect a better quality product for this price

I use it to roast seaweed
I use it to roast seaweed over the gas stove. It’s very easy to use, and I love it! Thanks!

Garbage
Hand-washed upon receiving and the stain/dye used on the wood handle immediately turned my dishwater red. Then on first use (to heat mini naan bread) I placed it on top of the grate over the smallest burner on my gas stove, with the flame well below the grate, much less the wire roaster. After no more than 2 minutes of use I lifted the roaster off the stove and the middle of the wire sagged as if melted. Definitely not steel, stainless or otherwise. Not worth the time/effort to return, so it is going straight into the trash.

good wire rack
Please remember to use this only when something (papad/roti/paratha) is actually on the mesh. Do not leave it on gas/coil at high temperature for long time while you do other things. It maybe metal but simply leaving it directly on top of high temperature surface without anything actually cooking on it will ultimately burn it.
