Radiant, Vol. 1: Volume 1

Oh what a fun read this was! Off the bat, this is a French comic that has been made into Manga but honestly, you would not be able to tell because the artwork, character design and paneling captures the feel and look of a Japanese shonen so incredibly well. The art is the absolute highlight with incredibly interesting character design, world concepts and lore all built into this first volume. The writing is also, genuinely funny and is highlighted within the art. It gets it right by combining serious with a touch of slapstick where it needs to, to add punch to the payoff and the concept of the world is already leading into interest to see and learn more. There are wizards, there is magic, there is action, there is floating islands, there are monsters and there are charming characters. Definitely worth a read!

I always wanted to read a new manga and I heard about this series is really good. So I bought this along with preordered a video game. The story was great along with the artwork. Written and drawn by French artist, Tony Valente. It’s a best manga from Viz Media.

I have always been a HUGE fan of Wakfu (French Cartoon on Netflix) & when I found out that one of the artist had made a manga, let's just say I was waiting all week for it to arrive, I was SOOO happy when it did, & it did not disappoint! I held off on watching the Anime just so I could read the Manga with a fresh mind & I'm so glad because this was truly a Gem, just like Wakfu! It's a story/series about Magic & sorcerers with a twist, It's GREAT!

I love the art and the story hooked me since the beginning. The author does a good job as the tale develops further.
