LOVE THIS!
This works WONDERFULLY if you want to clean seeds out of any squash! My hands are weak and this tool is fabulous.

Great but not perfect
This is a great plus over the old plastic pumpkin scooping spoons we've used in the past to clear out a pumpkin's innards. Rather than pulling over and over again to clear out the stringy fibers and seeds, this rips right through them. And that is where my only complaint is. It is hard to see on the poor product photo here on Amazon so I can't check what the package says to make sure, but I seem to recall that the pointed end of this is to help poke out small wedges. What happens when clearing out the innards is that the pointed end can scrape big gouges in the bottom of the pumpkin. Or perhaps I'm just too enthusiastic in how fast this does the job and I need to slow down and hold it a bit more on its scraping edges. This is one heck of a tool to use, although next year if I think about it in time, I may try to blunt the point some how. If not, it may be that I have no finesse yet and I need a bit more practice to keep from ripping a hole through the bottom of the pumpkin, lol.

Didn't buy this for pumpkins
I grow tons (well closer to 5 bushel) of winter squash Buttercup to be exact. they are hard skined and I cut them in half and scoop out the seeds then flip then over on a cookie sheet to bake. Then i scoop the squash out of the skin. this worked good at removing the seeds and scooping the squash out of the skins. I am sure it would work for pumpkins to!
