This came from the factory not working... and apparently had been messed with already cause it had batteries (i have installed over a hundred of these for my previous employer and they never do)and the plastic ring around the light was missingI put in a new battery box and controller now it works but I still need to "tape" the light where it goes cause no plastic ringEco temp the L5 was the only unit in your lineup I liked cause the L10 and 7 have that junk vertical battery box...

I own two of these, as well as a larger version. All three are at our mountain cabin. The larger vented unit supplies the inside of the cabin's needs (single shower, kitchen sink. These two small ones I've used for an outdoor kitchen and an outdoor shower. All have performed flawlessly. One note - if left outdoors over the winter, remove the drain plug from the bottom, as well as disconnecting all hoses.

I bought this L5 and took one hot shower before it broke. The seller could not return it due to Covid and told me I had to deal with the manufacturer. It took two weeks to finally get a hold of somebody at Eccotemp and they had me take it apart and fix it myself. It then continued to break about every other use. Finally they sent me a new solenoid and switch. I installed them and it broke again. This has been going on for months and after numerous conversations with Eccotemp and their manager Brian, They expect me to send them $130 before they will send me another unit. Customer service at this company is the worst I have ever seen. Do not buy this. Buy another brand. Piece of garbage.
