I originally gave 3 stars so this is an update. The box arrived in very bad shape and the packet that contains all of the screws sorted was practically destroyed and scattered throughout the box. The seller contacted me right away and made things right. Once I inventoried everything it turned out every last piece of hardware was accounted for. The tower itself is very sturdy and stout. It's perfect for that extra addition to the home gym. I'm 5'10 and the pull-up bar height is fine. I slightly bend my knees anyway. There is an ever so slight uneven rock to it but once I got it on mat padding it was fine. Important to note that you must keep most if not all screws loose until the very end. Set up was approx 45 min (1-12oz beer) and the instructions were easy to follow. The only complaint if any is that the curved step like things pictured opposite of the pull up side are a bit nubby. They could've make them an inch longer. Otherwise great product for the price.

Awesome product at a fair price.
After reading some reviews I had reservations if it would hold up to the abuse I intend to give it. But I am extremely satisfied with it. The item was well packaged and every piece was individually wrapped. All the hardware came on a shrink wrap card an every bolt and nut clearly labeled. Instructions were crystal clear to follow. NOTE I did notice after assembled you could reverse the hand hold to bottom floor base of no careful. Be sure the dip handles are opposite the push up handles. Otherwise it will assemble fine but the weight distribution will be off and it may be less secure when you use it Bottom line is I can do pull ups and dips off this all day long and never rocks or gives and I am 215 pounds.

Once together it works well
It’s a really good work out tower. They sent one of the bolts wrong in their packaging so I had to wait an extra week to put it together. It says it’s Gold’s but the labor was another company. I contacted them and they said it’s owned by the same people but they said I could return it or they’d give me a partial credit. I took the credit. The bolts cave the metal in some which is concerning but I’ve been using it for almost a year now and it’s been solid and good and I took it apart to live it once and it held up. The only negative about using it is the arm pads. They face perfectly up and are wide out. If you don’t have extremely wide shoulders you arms don’t want to sit on it well. I have to sink mine into the corners of the pad to make that work. It’s okay but not ideal. Overall it’s good.

Clear instructions and great quality!
This is a wonderful workout tower! First of all, very fast shipment and delivery. When I placed the order, the estimate delivery date was July 11th, but when I got home on July 5th, the package was already delivered to my house. Secondly, packaging was great. There was some torn in the corner of the boxes, but it's normal for a big box like this. Also, the parts were not damaged, which brings to my third point - no parts were missing. Last and most important point, it was easy to install because the instructions were extremely clear. Seriously, if you take time to read each step carefully and have another person to help you, the tower will be completed in less than two hours. My husband started using it after we finished assembling it, and it hold his 190 lbs weight perfectly and doesn't wobble. Remember to register your product immediately after you finish putting the tower together. I'm surprised to read that the warranty is only 90 days instead one year, but it's not too big of a deal for me. I mean this power tower costs around $130 after tax, so the warranty time makes sense. If you want a one year warranty, get those other towers that cost almost $1000. You get what you pay for, and in my case, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Great quality for a low price
It took a year before we cleared out space in the basement to start setting up a home gym. It took about an hour for my husband to assemble. (He’s a machinist and crazy good with all things mechanical.) There were no parts missing and everything is made well. I am 5’5, 150 lbs. and it is stable. Hubby didn’t think he’d use it but is now using it daily. He’s 6’1, 190 and it is stable. My 17 yr old daughter uses it. No complaints here! It’s already well worth the price if my pleasantly sore muscles are any indication 😊

Great Quality Product .
This Power Tower was delivered fast And was very easy to assemble . Very Sturdy Equipment , I built it for my son who is about 162 lbs . Carries his weight great with Pull up bar , but when he does dips it tends to wobble a little but we put exercise mats under the Tower so it keeps it pretty level and it doesn’t wobble as much . I would recommend putting gym/garage floor mats under the Tower to level it off , with the mats underneath it is very stable and doesn’t move . This is a great quality product from Golds Gym .

Unstable and potentially dangerous.
The product appears to be well made and durable with one major DANGEROUS flaw. A five foot tall 150 lb person can flip it when using the pull up bar. I’ve placed weights on the base and it’s useable but it makes me nervous having such a massive piece of equipment that is unstable. When my children get heavy enough to flip it I’m going to have to dismantle it to prevent potential serious injury to person or property. Even with 40 lbs of weights on the base it is still wobbly when I do pull-ups. When I say wobbly I mean lifting off the floor like it’s going to tip- not simply shaky. (It’s not shaky at all infact.) I rather feel the product should be recalled due to instability.

Great value!
I was looking specifically for the ability to do pullups and bar dips at home, so this seemed to fit the bill quite nicely. Having read other reviews, I was concerned about the quality but couldn't find anything truly competing with it for the price, so went ahead and ordered it. The Tower I received assembled easily, and is sturdy for the price. Used it about a dozen times now and am quite pleased. I am 6' 2" and about 175 lbs. I honestly cannot think of a complaint or concern. The Power Tower really is a fantastic value for the price.

Bought this Jan 2016 after reading several other reviews and checking out various comparable pull up units. My son also bought a similar one, so I knew what to look for. This is by far the best unit I've seen or used, and is an excellent price. I've seen others which are much more expensive and they aren't comparable. It is very sturdy and the quality of the unit is great. It is very well balanced, so it won't tip unless you don't use it properly. A friend bought one of the cheap units which attach to top of a door jam, but it fell off and they were injured. The rubberized covers where you grip the pull-up bar to do both standard pull-ups and wide pull-ups are well-made, and ensure that you won't lose your grip. Everything came well packaged so it made the assembly easy...I'd recommend that two people assemble this, since it is very sturdy and the parts are fairly heavy. It is a bit high, so be careful about measuring the height of the room where you plan to use it.

No problems. Assembly was pretty easy. It's very solid. I currently weigh 160 lbs and have had no issues with it being unstable or tipping with all the exercises. I've worked my way up from 1 set of 5 chinups to 12 with 2 reps. I'm getting a v-shape and my core is much stronger. Best piece of gym equipment I've bought. Quality is good - minor quibble - the 2 parallel bars on the base are not quite parallel. Don't care - doesn't affect the functionality. Between this and running and cycling, this is probably the most completely fit I have been.

I am incredibly happy with my Gold's gym Power Tower. I did not expect this to be so solid when I assembled it. The thing is a beast, and it's right in my living room so I can take full advantage of it. I weight 180lbs and does not ever shift on my when I do chinups, or pullups. I do all my chinups slowly, and start each rep so my arms are fully extended, so I suppose this would shift if I used my momentum to drive me back up. I'm not incredibly strong, so I do use an exercise band (I purchased a WOD Nation band with it). I often lean back on this thing when I put my knee in the band, and I'm never in any fear of tipping it. It took about 2 hours to put together by myself. I found the bolts well made, however, the screws that you put the pads on with do seem a bit cheap (a screwdriver tends to rip up the head as you screw).

This is a big solid piece of kit. I say this as a bigger guy that typically walks around between 230-40 pounds. At this weight it's rock solid for all of the exercises except dips, for which it can be a bit wobbly side-to-side. That said if I really focus on my dip form, it doesn't rock at all. If anything, this is a blessing in disguise as it won't allow you to get sloppy. The foam padding is pretty cheesy, but overall the construction is solid and the unit is easy to assemble alone assuming that you have a tiny bit of strength and a modicum of understanding when it comes to how physics works. Overall I'm very pleased.

The final dimensions are about 84" x 26" x 56" It is really sturdy on its own but I would recommend weighing the bottom down with some plates if you're doing band work. One time I had it lift off the ground when doing face-pulls with a band. It has stands for your feet to get going on the dips which is great. There are pads across the entire pull up bar and where your hands go for dips. When assembling metals things, never tighten the bolts fully until the whole structure is standing. Then tighten one at a time on approximately opposite sides so that the tension of the structure is evenly spread out. Same concept as tightening bolts on a wheel. If you assemble it this way, it should not rock.
