Reading prior reviews I now know to superglue the screw in. When would I ever want to open it again? As to the rusting, I think I will use some gun oil on it and hope that works, but if it gets worn that is no problem. I lost my wife just under 2 weeks ago, being up in age, it does not have to last that long.My worry is the leather, has anyone had it shrink on them?I gave it 4 stars thinking it just what I wanted. I did not engrave it, as it due to knowing getting things from outside, I have to return a lot of them. I will wait a bit before taking it in for that to see how it holds up. IF I have to move the ashes I will just drill out a hole, or drill out the screw. I feel for you all during your time of loss and mourning.

Have had and worn this for a little over a year. The finish on the metal part wore off in a few months and the metal on the "tongue" and in the "groove" that clasp the bracelet shut has rusted. The clasp won't slide all the way closed. And the cap of the ashes compartment keeps coming loose. Overall a very low quality item. I would not recommend or buy again. I expected better quality for something that would hold a loved one's remains. One image shows the clasp partially open and you can see the rust on the "tongue". In fact, it's so rusted I can't easily open it any further and am afraid if I try it won't go back on. The other photo shows the clasp completely closed - but you can see the edges aren't flush. There is a slight "jog" at the joint as the "tongue" won't slide all the way back down the "groove". And no, the bracelet has not been mistreated, abused, or damages. Both photos show the black gloss finish of the clasp as faded, rubbed off, and gotten scratched up from just normal wear and tear. Gave it 2 stars rather than 1 because band has held up well.Added a day later: This review made me look closer at the bracelet and I discovered the cap for the ashes compartment has come completely unscrewed and fell out at some point, so the ashes are now gone. (See photo - pen tip pointing at uncapped and open and EMPTY remains compartment). No idea when or where it happened. Luckily, I have a larger container of remains - but this is pathetic that something designed to hold something so valuable is made so shoddily. Dropping my review to on star - wish I could go lower.

It was purchased for a family member and he loved it! Bracelet was well made!
