Works great after 3 solid years of almost daily use
I've used 2 of these chargers in rotation with 18650 batteries since 2022. The spring loaded battery holders all still work (i am careful not to bend them when inserting batteries).

Well made, reliable, and versatile
I purchased this four slot MiBoxer smart universal charger a little over four years ago, and it is still going strong. It has been used frequently to charge AA and AAA Ni-MH, and LI-ion batteries in the following sizes: 14500, 18650, 21700, and even 26700 (which this manufacturer doesn't claim). This charger can also put a battery through a discharge/capacity test which will tell you the true capacity of the battery as apposed to the often overstated advertised value.I have recently been in the market for another additional charger to help me with my increased need to charge more batteries, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the MiBoxer is still available. I looked at all of the other competing chargers on Amazon and was not able to find one that even came close to having the number of features this one does. During my search I also came across the eight slot version of this make and ordered it immediately. If you are looking for a serious smart universal battery charger that is able to charge just about any kind of battery up to the Li-ion 26700 size then do yourself a favor and grab this one.It is easily a great investment at $28, and an excellent one for the eight slot at $40.

All-in-all, a decent charger but not the easiest to use.
First, to correct some misunderstandings by other customers, the MiBoxer C4 is a charger not a battery meter. When you insert a battery into the device, the display will show percent charged, internal resistance in Ohms and total mAh remaining in the battery. Those numbers are not an accurate presentation of the actual condition of the battery...nor are they meant to be. Due to the nature of the batteries themselves and of the device, the initial readings are going to be low for percentage and high for resistance. By the time the meter could produce more accurate results, the batteries will have already started charging and the numbers will have started to change. For example, I inserted a AA NiMH battery which showed a 27% charge and 999mΩ resistance. In 3 minutes, it was at 42% and 256mΩ and in 5 min., it was more than double the initial percentage. The MiBoxer may be good but it's not that fast. It shortly settled down to a steadier trickle and more accurate readings and reached "FULL" about 1 1/2 hrs. later. What I like about the MiBoxer is that it's fairly quick; you can adjust the amount of charge; it tells you the internal resistance of each battery (which is an indicator of the battery's overall condition); it handles a wide variety of sizes and chemistries; it can revive "dead" lithium batteries and it can run a charge-discharge-recharge cycle, giving you the total capacity of the battery (the main reason I got this model vs. other MiBoxer chargers). What I don't like is that only one slot will perform the capacity run and, since each cycle can take well over 10 hours, testing a bunch of batteries is a major commitment. I can't tell you exactly how long a cycle takes since the charger seems to reset the timer after the first charge...so you can probably add another 1 - 2 hours, depending on the battery's initial charge. In addition, operating the charger is not exactly intuitive --- often requiring pressing one or the other of the two buttons in some sequence or occasionally together for an unspecified or vaguely described duration (e.g. "Press the key 'SLOT' for a relatively long time"). Unless you're using the charger frequently or always using the default settings, you're probable going to need the manual nearby. The charger is also somewhat fussy about how the batteries are seated and positioning each one is not always easy. This is particularly true of the smaller batteries, like AAAs. I've seen other chargers that provide a plastic cradle which fits into the charging slots and makes it much easier to position these smaller batteries. The MiBoxer would benefit from such a cradle. One last item to note (and it is mentioned in both the Amazon listing and in the MiBoxer instruction manual but bears highlighting) --- while the MiBoxer will recognize multiple battery chemistries and automatically adjust charging characteristics accordingly, it will not do so for LiFePO4 or Li-ion 4.35V batteries (Li-ion 4.2V batteries are OK). Those batteries require you to set the battery type manually. Failure to do so would result in them being charged as if they were 4.2V Li-ion and could have some pretty unfortunate consequences.

Handles almost anything you put on it
I needed a charger that would handle a wide variety of battery chemistries and sizes. One that was versatile yet I didn’t need to rely on my Engineering degree to use it. I looked over the specifications and checked out the reviews and I liked what I saw. I ordered one and when it came in, I had it up and running in just a few minutes. I also ordered a aftermarket 12V DC @ 3A power cube to go with the 120Vac power input cord supplied. I have charged a few different chemistries using both the AC and DC inputs without any problems. One of the nicest user interface features is the large easy-to-read LCD display. My eyes aren’t as sharp as they use to be and this display is easily seen. Having a larger display means the charger is a little bigger than some but I like that fact. At 285 grams (~10 ounce), it sits firmly when in use and I don’t feel I have to watch it from getting knocked off the desk with the slightest touch. If your looking for a versatile battery charger, check out this one. I think you’ll like what it can do for around $27.
