I bought these and was a little worried about being able to put them on and have them look good. I used a heat gun and it was really easy. I cleaned the magazine with alcohol and dried it with the heat gun and then used the heat gun to put it on.

So overall the Mag Skin does work but I noticed a few issues with this particular wrap.The first issue was that the skin is not really long enough to full cover the exposed part of a standard size AK mag. See picture to see what I mean. There is a significant gap between the mag well and where the wrap begins. I was hoping that it would go up higher and I even started the wrap further up from the baseplate and it still didn't reach all the way up. And speaking of size, but I would also like the wrap to be just a little bit wider so that each side of the wrap would cover half the front and back of the mags. While I had no problem placing the wraps so that they covered their respective halves of the back side there is still a small gap on the front side of the mag where the two sides of the wrap would not extend far enough. I was using a standard Magpul MOE AK-47 magazine but looking at the Tapco's, Bulgarian Surplus, KCI and other magazines I own I think the size was going to be issue no matter the magazine I applied the skin too.Another issue I had was that for all the instructions about using a heat gun (which I did) I was surprised when at one point when using my heat gun on low and passing it over the wrap, a small part of the wrap bubbled up and popped leaving a small hole in the wrap itself. I was not holding the gun stationary over that one spot and I do not think I was applying excessive heat but this did cause damage that is noticeable to one side of the wrap.Overall I think the skin design is good, but the template seems a bit too short and narrow for standard sized AK mags and I have a concern about how it did indeed bubble up when I applied the skin with a heat gun.

Easy to use and cost effective. As many have said just take your time with it. My wife gave me the cuticle sticks in the photo, and they were great for doing some of the detailing work. Will be buying more.

I can't say it is terrible but I can't say it's amazing either. It looks just a tad bit cheap but from afar it looks fine. It doesn't affect my AK-47 whatsoever, looks good on it but it's not as amazing as the photos above, maybe slightly off by a lil from the photos. I give it a 4/5

I'd buy again. Takes a little while to get it settled into the nooks and cranny, but again it was the first time I heat shrunk anything other than some tubing for small wires. Take your time and find something firm to gently help it in the cracks

need a heat gun and a razor blade. But other then that easy to apply .

Was a little doubtful at first but there are. Few videos for tutorials on how to install.... Would suggest the use of a hair dryer but after using I want to wrap my other magazines now.
