The Friesian Horse

I bought this as a birthday present and when it arrived the version i was sent is photocopied.Its hard to comment on quality of the real book as some of the pages are hard to read and photos are blurred.

There isn't much fluff in this book; it's packed with facts. This is the place to look for the history of the Friesian breed, foundation sires and their offspring, what to look for if you're thinking about buying a Friesian, explanations of the Dutch terms used in evaluating the breed, the "rules of Friesian ownership" implemented to perpetuate the pure breed, even examples of the forms used. I found The Friesian Horse to be a very good resource.

Birthday GiftMy 13 year daughter old loves her book! Even though the pages are black and white she said it didn't matter because Friesian's are black anyways.

Good little 50 page book on Friesians. Written 2001. Pictures dated but good. Can read thru in less than 1/2 hour.

Very disappointed, not worth the money, no useful information given in this book. I would not recommend anyone buying this book if they want to learn more about the Friesian horse.
