Excellent Alternative to Factory Bluetooth Remote w/Slideout
We have a Vizio M3D460SR and after 3-1/2 years of use the factory Bluetooth remote (w/slideout) was frequently losing its connection to the TV. After seeing so many positive reviews we decided to give this remote a try, for the price and Amazon returns, making the purchase was a no-brainer. Received it in the mail today, installed two AA batteries, and we were surfing the channels from the couch again. The factory remote had a Bluetooth connection with the TV, so it didn't have to be pointed at the TV to work. This remote is only IR, so it must be pointed at the TV to work. It does not have the slideout keyboard, but controls all of the basic TV functions, provides access to the TV menu settings, and works with the VIA (smart TV) features just like the original.I saw a few complaints in the other reviews about this remote, I will comment on those here: - The look and feel of the remote is very similar to the original. The buttons are raised a little more than the original, but I would say they are of similar quality and they work just fine. - The battery cover does fit pretty snug, even with standard Rayovac Alkaline batteries, but I did get it to fully close (and stay closed). - This remote has all the same buttons on the face as the original, with the exception of the "Device Power" button, this has been removed. We used this button to turn our Sony Receiver On and Off (and the original remote allowed us to control the volume on the receiver via IR). I knew this before ordering the remote, so as a workaround we're back to using the TV speakers and only use the Sony Receiver when watching movies.

Works right off the bat as described - saved a bundle
I bought this for a "second family" member who had ended up with an older Vizio television (xvt3d424sv - released in 2010/2011) and the remote got lost in a move. Being the appointed tech geek, I hunted down appropriate replacement models and found a variety of claims. This one seemed to be the right item and certainly at the best price, given the outrageous charges many companies charge. (It seems that finding the appropriate model numbers for various tv models is valuable info as some replacements were priced over $40 or $50)In any case, I ordered it, received it, plugged in some batteries and tried it at home on my my much newer Vizio M55-f0 - worked without a hitch and no programming required. Delivered it to her and she reported that it worked perfectly for her as well. It's about as durable feeling as my new tv remote - mind you, the Vizio remotes don't seem very sturdy (so I actually ordered a case for it!) - but given the replacement price for the item, it seemed difficult not to give it a 5-star for the plug-and-play win.

What’s an “Euide”?
The remote works great, so no complaints. Even the “Vizio” button works to bring up the app bar. Only comment about it is that I mistakenly thought that this was an actual “Vizio”-manufactured remote. If it is, it’s a factory second. It is lighter in weight than the original, probably because it doesn’t have the slide-out keyboard (fine with us, since ours stopped working within weeks of buying the TV 11+ years ago). And the plastic face is already dulling after 3 days of use. Still, it’s working great for now. Optimistic that it will continue working for as long as we have our TV.Why do I think it’s a factory second? Check out the final photo, and see if you can see why… 😉🤣
