In our office we have a mix of Windows and Macs, so we needed a solution that would work for both without too much lag. We tried most of the others here on Amazon and most had major issues connecting or terrible lag. So I decided to give this one a chance.If you follow the instructions, it is fairly easy to setup. If you don't you will have issues. I used the app on my Mac to install the software and set it up without issue.I have connected to it with a Mac, Windows 10, and Chromebook all without issue and all with minimal lag. It has a lot of features as well for other ways to display content and customization.Keep in mind that this is the consumer grade version, there is a business version (2nd Gen Pro, not the 1st Gen) that is faster and have more features for business. However for our needs, we did not see the justification for 3-4x the cost for it. However there is definitely uses I could see.

I tried for a long time, I had a Google chromecast which powered up from a usb port on the TV and set up quick. I bought this for another tv and hooked it up the same way, wrong move! After two days and talking to an IT friend he told me that it needed to be plugged into a power supply, that the voltage from a usb port on the TV was not enough. Well I finally got it working but the picture quality was not that good so I resorted to sending it back not a good experience.

I bought this because it was my understanding I could cast to a tv without using an internet connection. Well, it will not initially setup without downloading an update and for that you need internet which we do not have here. Our phone data is our only internet. Disappointed. Wish Microsoft made their device work with an iPhone.

Had high hopes for this product. However, like several others that I tried, there was noticeable latency in screen mirroring. On the plus side, setup was more straight forward than other products.

Tried everything to connect the Ezcast with no success.I managed to mirror my phone screen, but it won’t play Netflix, or Prime video.As far as I’m concerned it’s a waste of time and money.I would suggest Google Chromecast which I purchased and WORKS.

this product come with deep defect as you have to keep your phone unlocked all the time if you streaming any videos other with it will stop when phone locked and the video will start over again they should clarify that at the product technical specificities then i can decide whatever to buy it or notnow i am stuck with a product that i have to keep my phone unlocked all the time till my phone battery drain super fasti need to know how i can return that products and get my money back

Video quality is good. Chromecast works better with youtube but casting my screen from Android works great.

I wanted to be able to use the tv in my kitchen as a second screen for my laptop, but my HDMI port on my laptop is broken! So ordered this in hopes of being able to cast my screen to the tv either mirror or extend modes.Very easy to set up, for my phone, I just scanned the barcode downloaded app and connected. For connecting my PC, I downloaded the app, open connect, very easy!!It has wifi both 2.4 and 5 Ghz, and once set up properly, it works great!Very happy with this casting dongle, works exactly as described, and small enough, I can carry it around with my laptop and can use it on other tv's / monitors with HDMI input!

I purchased this to connect my laptop to my external monitor and extend my screen area and get rid of the VGA cable. I was up and running in less than 5 minutes.This was very easy to setup. I simply plugged the HDMI adapter into the monitor, then I took the attached cable and plugged the USB end of cable into an adapter (plugged it in) and then the other end to HDMI Adapter connected to the monitor. I then went to 'Display' in 'Settings' on Windows 10 and choose 'Connect to a display' and choose the 'EZCast2...' device from the list. I did not use the EZCast app, it disconnects internet. It took a minute or so to sync. Streaming video and audio worked well as long as the laptop and monitor where next to each other, but a noticeable delay in video when I move the laptop to the kitchen from the living room.Even with laptop and monitor next to each other, there is some delay when typing if you type fast and you may need to adjust the sound and select the proper output device if your monitor has no sound. I have windows 10 on laptop and haven't used it yet with tablet or phone.As mentioned earlier, I only wanted this device to get rid of the VGA cable. It simplifies things when connecting and disconnecting when traveling between two places. VGA cables are bulky, not easily bent and a nuisance when there is limited desk space, so it works for me.

Ich bin nicht gerade technisch unbegabt... aber das war mir zu kompliziert um auch mal schnell und flexibel an und mit verschiedenen Geräten zu verbinden und verwenden zu können. Ich habe das Teil nicht zum Laufen bringen können!!!Wie vorgeschlagen, scannte ich den Code ein, der mir bein anschließen an die Leinwand gezeigt wurde.... und ich bekam eine App angezeigt, die ich gleich installierte. Blöderweise achtete ich nicht darauf was das für eine App war und mein Handy installierte fröhlich ein Sex-Site!! Das geht gar nicht.Vor installation prüfte ich es nicht, weil ich so was überhaupt nicht erwartet hatte! Wenn ein Gerätehersteller in der Anleitung schreibt mach dies mach das, dann erwarte ich auch DAS was es machen soll!!... hoffe das ich jetzt keinen Virus habe!Zweite Runde:Also, diese App deinstalliert und aus dem Playstore die richtige per Hand rausgesucht und installiert. Jetzt sollte ich Passwörter und Zugriffsberechtigungen eingeben! Das wurde mir zu bund und ich brach ab!Es war nichts verbunden... es funktionierte somit auch nichts... und ich schicke es gleich zurück!
