I bought this mug (2 of them actually) for camping because it was an insulated 16 oz mug with a clear plastic lid. Really loved it - felt good in my hand with a little thumb indent on the handle. Kept my coffee hot while drinking. Lid kept me from spilling coffee all over myself. Despite others describing me as having a "big mouth", it doesn't seem to help with my coffee drinking coordination challenge.After many uses, I noticed the slider on the lid was getting brown and disgusting despite my efforts to clean it. I tried soaking the lid in Dawn dish liquid and hot water. Then rapidly moving the slider back and forth under running hot water. I even slide a paper towel under the slider. Nothing cleaned it. Just when I was about to give up on the mug, I decided to contact the company, Real Deal Steel. They were GREAT!I sent an email late Friday night and got a response almost immediately from Jacob LaConte (despite the current pandemic). He said they are aware of this issue. And while he didn't have any special cleaning tips, he suggested to rinse it out immediately after use. He also offered to send me a new lid, which arrived the next Monday with a personal note from Casey at the company.After several weeks of use, the replacement lid has remained clean when it is rinsed immediately.So I am HAPPY to report:- the new lid stays clean when I rinse it immediately.- the company STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.- their CUSTOMER SERVICE is awesome.I can honestly say - I'm a HAPPY camper!

Love this cup it has a nice wide mouth. I enjoy the weight and feel of it. So far it seems quite durable I have put it in the dishwasher daily for the last 90 days. I use it to drink my one cup of coffee a day which I prepare the night before then put it in the Refrigerator so it will be cold. The cup keeps things cooler longer than regular cups especially if the top is on. I also use it as my travel cup as it is easy to clean and so far very little damage some scratches on the bottom from setting it down on rough or dirty surfaces dirt as in sand Ect. Also if placed in a bag with silverware it will scratch and if dropped on a hard surface it will dent. So overall it may not end up being a pretty piece but I feel like it will be a long lasting functional one. My biggest complaint is the cheap piece of stainless steal looking sticker they use to cover what I assume to be the screw in the bottom it looks cheap and feels flimsy and I expect that it will come off in time and be the first part of the cup to fail though I guess since it’s not truly part of the cup it’s just stuck on it’s not the cup failing.Update: I bought this cup may 2020 have used it everyday it is my favorite cup! Wish they still made it. Wish I had another.I will defiantly give this company’s other products a try. Todays date is March 3, 2023

This mug is excellent in keeping my lips from burning on hot coffee, with a very large stable base. The mug may be too wide for most cup holders, but I just wanted something less top heavy and prone to tipping than the ones that do fit in the cup holders. Very good heat retention with lid, and cool to the touch with just boiled coffee inside. The only reason I won’t give 5 stars is the lid, it may be just me, but when I try to drink through the lid it spills down my chin and on my shirt, no matter how I try to wrap my mouth around it. Without the lid, it’s like any other mug and my shirt stays coffee stain free.

PROS: This is the best camp coffee mug I own bar none. It keeps my coffee hot is easy to clean and I love the large 4" opening. I can cook an entire top ramen in the cup. (NOTE by cook I mean add hot water, don't put this over fire or in oven)CONS: Lid makes it hard to drink from mug, and is hard to clean. There is an upside 3rd party vendors sell replacement lids that work with mug.Yes I'd buy again and recommend to friend. Too bad it isn't available now.

This is a great coffee mug. It keeps my coffee VERY hot and it wasn't as expensive as other brands. However, it will not fit into a car cup holder. The sliding lid is nice to close up the coffee and keep it from spilling, but it also retains water from washing -- I can't get it out. Ick.

This is a quality mug. Doesn't keep my tea as warm as I'd hoped, but it works great to keep an ice cream serving cold. I like that it's short and wide vs. tall and slim. Very stable. Also like the handle. Most stainless mugs I've seen have skinny handles. This one is sturdy. Very happy with my purchase.

I wanted to cut down on my coffee drinking! Figured I’d buy a smaller mug (was using a 40oz). Simple! This mug is beautiful! It feels great in your had and the handle fits well! Sadly it doesn’t keep the beverage cold or hot! After having used it several times I have yet to get thru an entire cup without dribbling! Each sip produces a pronounced drip down the side of the cup! I will keep using and update later! I do like the cup but there are others very similar! I will just have to drink faster until I find another I like the looks of better! Aside: kept using, still dribbled, also found that the lid was almost impossible to clean without a screw driver to pry up the little slider/closer thing! Threw the lid away will use the cup for other things!

I've had this mug for about two weeks now and so far its been great.Pros:- The mug holds heat in well- I can't feel any of my coffee's heat if I grab the mug itself (the non-handle part)- The lid is has a tight seal on the mug- Its easy to transportCons:- The lid is a bit of a pain to clean. It gets water / soap in section that slides open and shut.Overall, this is one of the better mugs I own. Its great for moving around a lot (around home, around the office, etc) and it keeps coffee hot. I'd highly recommend this to a friend.
