Attractive and easy to install solar lamps
I ordered 12 solar lamps to install along our long driveway. I followed the instructions before first use, recharging them in the sun for 2 days, and they work beautifully. I find them very attractive and with the copper tops are exactly what I envisioned. They are extremely easy to install; it takes a couple of minutes. But there was an issue I have to mention: two of the twelve lamps had a damaged/broken little piece of the plastic part inside the top that is used to screw up the solar part and battery. It seemed to me that it was a problem during shipping. I contacted the seller and they were extremely prompt with their response and they offered to replace the lamps but I declined because I fixed them with tape and they are functional and the damage doesn't show visually. But check them carefully before installation,

Originals still working after two years, but latest model is a major dud
Update Feb 2017:While I really liked the original lights purchased in 2014, and had rated them 5 stars, the mfr has made changes to these. While at first blush they appear the same, there are subtle physical differences and the solar panel is different. That means it is somewhat, but not perfectly interchangeable with the originals. For instance, the lid to the glass can be swapped, but they don't fit and lock well. Because I had so many breaks of the original plastic parts breaking over time due to people bumping into them, I finally broke down and bought a new box in 2016 just for the purpose of getting replacement parts, after the manufacturer failed to return my phone call requesting parts. I have tried two of these new lights and it appears they ship with batteries that don't even come close to lasting all night. While my original lights will often last all night (dim, but they do last unless we have consecutive cloudy days), these can't last 2-3 hours on a full charge. The other day I removed a battery and charged it with my own charger and it lasted all night (I checked my Nest camera feed). The next day, after a full morning of bright sun, where I would expected the light to last all night, it died literally after two hours. My guess is that either 1) the new batteries are not as good as the originals or 2) the solar panels are not as effective at generating power, or both. For now, I just put the original cap onto the new glass, even though it is not a solid fit. Will update with more testing, and may buy Eneloop 950MAh batteries (these ship with 800 MAh), but for now there is no way I can recommend these due to the poor performance. Sadly, I kept these way beyond the 30 day return window before I even tested them.Original review:These are amazing. I wasn't sure how the pewter finish would look due to the differences in the available photos, so for anyone else wondering, they are reminiscent of a dark nickel or stainless finish. The appearance is beautiful and nothing like the typical solar landscape light. But the best part is that even on full cloudy days, they will cast a light all night long. Unlike my MicroSolar lights, they appear to diminish in intensity with lower battery capacity, as opposed to staying at full brightness until the battery is exhausted. Most of these only receive less than half a day of sunlight due to the position near the house, but they display a satisfying light all night after a sunny day, at even a distance, that looks far more impressive from the street than the cheap ones they replaced, or what any of the neighbors have. The plastic base of one of the heads snapped, but it seems to be holding up with Gorilla glue. Be careful when adjusting by removing the head first, then replacing.Update, Year 2: All still in operation. Not sure on multiple cloudy days they have quite the brightness at night that they did when new. The biggest issue is that over time, I have patched probably each one of these at least once, and some several times, due to either someone in my family stepping on them, or a contractor or delivery person doing it. I moved them back a few more inches from the sidewalk, which did help, as well as placing large rocks near them. Some had so much Krazy glue that I had to scrape it all off to get it to adhere. But I switched to epoxy to bind the stakes parts together, which is a bit more durable. The vendor really needs to sell replacement parts.

Easy Installation/Durable
Bought some of these Charleston Solar lights two years ago and they're still working well today. However, another group of solar lights that I installed at the same time have all failed. Therefore, to replace the short-lived solar lights, and enlarge area covered in my front yard, I bought another set of Charleston Solar lights. Very easy to install. I found that using a rubber mallet to tamp the copper tubes in over the plastic stakes increased the stability of the lights. Handy tip!

A good buy...
Ok I always goto the reviews before I even read the description of these types of solar lights. These are one of the best I have seen on the market. They are beautiful and light up nicely2 consReplacing a battery requires a screw driver very small so it was more of an annoying factorThe stakes be very careful with they do break easily and this is even after I made holes with a drill. I wish they came with metal stakes like my other copper lights didAside from that I would have given five stars.Try it don’t like it return it

Mixed Review
I ordered this product twice to receive 12 total lights. The lights feel like hey are very good quality in that they have a heavy and solid feel to them. They were very easy to assemble, and I did not need instructions to do it. Despite the fact the lights were set up in the evening they worked with only about an hour and a half to charge. For one order, one of the lights did not work. So one in twelve did not work for me. That being said, the lights really look nice along my new driveway. It makes my property look cozy at night. I will return the light to exchange it for a working one, so I will update this review upon completing that part of my transaction. Originally, I commented that two of the lights did not work. The second light must not have been charged properly because it did work the second night. The four stars is because The one light did not work.I changed this review to 3 stars now because I never received anything in return for my nonworking lights. No money or replacements.

I wish I had a longer walkway so I could buy some more.
These solar lights are well made from quality materials. We love the glow from the real glass globes. The metal has a nice brushed finish and they seem like they will last a long time. I let them sit in the sun for three days prior to turning them on and haven't had any issues with them not holding a charge. If I had one complaint is that the light sensor is a bit too sensitive so the two lights closest to my porch don' t light up when the porch light is on. If I block the list from the porch they turn right on. The instructions warn of placing them to close to a bright light so I can't ding the lights for this. I would buy these again and would recommend them to a friend.

Very nice!!
I have no issues with these lights !! We live in a wooded area, and have a long driveway.Lots of shade. Needed a new set of lights, took a chance on these. Love the real glass!! And the color!Honestly, they sat in my driveway in the box, solar side up, for over 2 weeks before I got around to putting them in. Works great from the get go!! I figure about 8 hours of light a night. Perfect!I just ordered another set !!!Very happy!!!
