The Capsule collection by U-Boat watches is a reflection of designers, Italoa��s fascination with depth gages of this time. The timepiece bears some extraordinary features such as the perfectly rounded shape of the polished titanium bezel secured down with pressure resistant glass to mimic the spherical portholes made from strong glass seen in the original Capsule construction. The U Boat Capsule 50 Beige Plexi Limited Edition watch is a true novelty with a vintage inspired design and chocolate brown central hands with luminescent coating. The contemporary styles Arabic numerals create contrast against the creamy beige backdrop of the dial, brought into proportion by a small date aperture at 9. As with all U Boat watches, the crown is situated on the left hand side of the watch. U Boat use a patented systems to clamp the glass to the grade 5 titanium case which features a system of external fixing levers. The two main levers of the U Boat Capsule 50 Beige Plexi Limited Edition are locked in place by a third one positioned at 3 o clock by special safety screws which press the domed hesalite glass against the waterproof gasket beneath. This system secures the watch in the event of pressure changes. The entire process of opening and removing the glass can be performed without dismantling any of the watchs main components.
