Accuracy of this machine is in question
I have misgivings about the reported temperatures. Everyday, I see only a less-than-one-C difference between min and max. I do not have a second machine to verify, but intuitively this cannot be true (in a well-ventilated room). The RH readings are also hard to verify, but I personally am not interested in accurate measures of RH.

Accurate,Easy to setup & first thing to buy before buying humidifier !
I would recommend this for anyone. Infact, I am planning on buying couple more to install in all rooms.The product is good in size, plastics feel cheap however the device is what it says it is. It works well, is able to automatically detect humidity when taken from room to room. You can set alarm as well. Only thing I would have wished for is illuminating in the dark. At night you have to switch on light or use mobile light to see the time or reading.Now, why did i Buy this ?If your kids and family are falling ill frequently with cold and cough, the first culprit is Humidity. Since we can't see it or be accurate in measure, this came in handy. My room humidity was between 40 and 42 when I bough this. Anything around 40 and over 70 is not good (is what I have seen with my family). Easiest way to increase humidity (without buying costly Humidifier ) is to use THE FAN !! I keep the bedroom closed for 30 minutes and that is enough to increase the humidity by 15% atleast. For almost a month now since i got this and started maintaining the humidity in my bedroom where kids spend the maximum time, we haven't seen them struggling with cold or cough.This device saved me a good 7,000/- on humidifier by first telling me how much it is and use simpler techniques than making an expensive purchase.

Lacks backlight
There is no backlight but the battery lasts for many months. The temperature reading is mostly accurate.
