How many cards come in the set?

About 30 high quality cards. Can't say exactly because the cards are at my office. They work well for kids that aren't verbal.

Do you recommend these cards for severely disabled nonverbal students and if so, how do you recommend using them?

Our cards are designed to engage children and help them "verbally" express their thoughts and feelings in fun and healthy ways. I am wondering if it would be a good idea to play with my son(7). He seems so find it hard to identify his feelings even more to talk about them. Thnx

I enjoy using these cards to develop rapport with children. we take turns answering the questions (alternating cards, I keep pile and so do they) and then switch. Then he/she will try and remember my answers and I will do the same for them. It is definitely appropriate for a 7 year old. I do find that some children get fixated on the picture and not the questions. Some of the pictures make sense more to an adult than a kid. It would be a great start for you and him (modeling).

How does it compare to 2 similar therapeutic games "Cadily, this is me" and "Let's talk"?

This game is really a beginners version to getting younger kids to open up and answer questions; where as the Lets talk game can be used for more ages and will likely spark a conversation. I’ve used it in group and individual sessions and after there is some trust the younger kids will share more than the answer but for those kids who internalize everything this game allows them to just answer the question
