Happy Mane Premium Large Silicone Swimming Cap for Long Hair Dreadlocks, Braids, Weave on, Hair extension, Tick Afro

I bought this product for my 9 year old daughter who has difficulty using the conventional swimming caps because of her braids. However this cap is much too wide for her and she found it difficult to put on by herself. Once on, we found that there were gaps near the ears of the cap which would have allowed water in. The cap is made out of much thicker material than a normal cap would be ideal for an adult with long thick braids/locks. Unfortunately it wasn't right for us so had to return it.

Afro hair styles such as box braids and weave on that I like to have on my hair made it impossible for me to go swimming to avoid wetting and ruining the style. I'm so glad I found this swimming cap as it is big enough to contain my box braids and I can now enjoy swimming without worries as it keeps my hair dry and protect my style. I highly recommend it.

I thought I’d review after wearing my hat a few times. I love it. It doesn’t keep your hair 100% dry but I’d say 95%. There is no such thing as a sexy swimming hat but I’m out for a swim and not to pull! I’m happy that I can go for a swim without worrying about my ‘fro. It’s expensive but well worth it.

Had a few days to test out the happy mane cap and i am extremely disappointed with the cap. the cap arrived and it felt cheap and the material thin. The packaging was cheap as well. The cap fit my hair (braids), although it continuously leaked a lot water in, it left my hair COMPLETELY WET. I tried the cap for a second time and it ripped while putting it on. I have tried to contact happy mane but not received a response. AVOID. Wasted money. Will try the more expensive options on amazon.

Returned to morning swimming and Aquarobics with this cap on. Wonderful news - no wet hair nor edges! Do ensure that the cap's tip is pulled down towards the eyebrows. I can now swim, get ready for work with no need to blow dry (or any dry). Best cap I've used!!

Not that impressed, I’m afraid. Looks good, but doesn’t do a great job. No swimming cap is watertight, but this let in so much water. I think if you have very thick long locks it might fit better, but on my first wear in the pool, I found it slipped back off my head, and just constantly filled with water.

Ok so far. Nice and room for plaits. No escaping water from getting into hair. Edges of hair still wet. Middle dry. No swimcap will completely stop water getting in, but this one helps.

This thing did not keep my eye from becoming completely soaked each time i used it. I dont expect any swimcap to keep your hair 100 percent dry but each of the three times i wore it, i had to go home and blow dry my braids because the hair was soaking wet. I gave it 2 stars because it was big enough to cover my braids and it did not rip but it doesn't do a very good job of keeping the water out.
