VERY sturdy!
My kids don't do tricks on their scooters, so I can't say anything about that, but I will say that the ones we have were definitely worth it. Our younger daughter got a pink one for Christmas last year and a year later, it is still in working condition and rides smoothly. You can probably read that in 100 other reviews, but the main reason I wanted to write one was because my husband actually ran over the scooter with his truck (both sets of wheels) and the thing still works. I'm not sure which part he ran over, but the kids had left it out one day. I had to break up so many fights between my girls (since they both wanted to ride it) that I'm glad my older daughter got her own this year. My kids are 8 and 10 and really get a lot of use out of these. I recommend this product!

Beware of Beach Camera if ordering a razor scooter
I ordered a pink razor recently for my 7 year old granddaughter. It was a hit! My 8 year old granddaughter wanted one also so I decided to order a green razor. When I received the green razor it was not as described with the photo. All razors are shown with the base simply having the word RAZOR and the color requested. When i received it the green one was decorated with flames and lots of stuff that to me looked very boyish. I wanted to return and get something that was more girlish. The green razor was from Beach Camera and now realize the pink razor was from VMinnovations. When I went to return the green razor it was not simple. First I had to tell why I was returning and wait for reply to see if my reason was going to be approved. Very simply I stated not as described on website. They approved it but no shipping label and I must pay for return shipping. Since this is a heavy product it cost me $22 to ship it UPS. I will not order from BEACH CAMERA again.

Not a good trick scooter
I had this scooter before its fairly good for cruising but not for tricks. I had it for about a week. I decided to go for a double tail whip and when I landed it the scooter snapped in half. Good cruiser not a good trick scooter.

needs more durable streamers in Sweet Pea
Ok, I bought the Sweet Pea scooter for my little gal specifically for the sparkly streamers (she is a sparkly sweet pea). She and I waited anxiously for it to arrive. The box appeared on our doorstep today (very efficient shipping) and I quickly adjusted it for her size (easy task). She made it half way out the door for her maiden ride and one streamer got caught. It yanked off and broke apart into many shiny ribbons. She is 4 and there is a step at the door, so the pull on the streamer was minimal. I am lucky that she is such a good natured gal because she didn't miss a beat. She rode it happily down our sidewalk to show her friends the other streamer. I am the one who is bummed. Should I package the thing up to return it (a hassle, because I have four young children and a deployed husband)? Will the replacement be just as weak? Any suggestions?

Good little scooter
Bought this scooter for my younger nephew in green and he really loves it so far. It's too small for adults like myself, but for kids 4-12 it really does the trick. It rides a little rough on the street, but it's great on freshly paved surfaces and side walks. Do note that the wheels are on the smaller side, so they feel every single bump and road imperfection. Small loose rocks can stop the scooter if driven over at the wrong angle. Definitely make sure you purchase a helmet and pads along with this scooter if you have inexperienced little ones. One issue I did not like about Amazon is the constant price changing they do. When I first added this scooter to my cart, it was priced at $25, then about a hour later, when I was nearing completion of my shopping, the price went up to $30. Be weary, and pay attention to the price listings.

We have 4 of them!
We got a Razor A Scooter from Grandma that was kept outdoors for several years and used occasionally by visiting grandchildren. The Scooter still rode as smoothe as silk after all those years. So smoothe that I allowed my 4 kids (ages 4-12) to ride it in my house on the wood floors. I got tired of them constantly fighting over the scooter, so I broke down and ordered 3 more... each in a different color. That definitely solved the fighting problem. Now I ask for a turn haha. I need to order one for me :) My ONLY complaint is the metal clamp on one of the scooters fell apart (in about 5 pieces) the second day we had it. I put it back together, but it's still loose. We can't adjust the scooter highth on that one either. Other than that, it still works fine, and the highth seems to work for everyone. I recommend these scooters.

Great Bike Training!
About a year ago I heard that getting kids a scooter will help them learn how to balance, which makes it easier when it comes time to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels. We got our son this scooter, and he's gotten really good on it over the past year. About two weeks ago, I decided to pull off his training wheels and I was ready to spend the weekend helping him learn to ride without the training wheels. The first time he started pedaling and I let go, he just took off! I couldn't believe it. He's been riding his bike about two weeks now and hasn't fallen down once! I give the credit to the scooter, because he was able to learn how to balance and keep himself upright! I'll be using this trick for my younger child as well!

Problem with hardware on scooter
We ordered two of these Razor Scooters for our boys and one of the scooters has had a problem with keeping the handle bar straight. It appears that the stem that attaches to the base of the scooter has become stripped and no matter how tight you tighten the bolt that connects the handle bar to the base you can not get the handle bar to keep from not spinning. I even went and bought another bolt thinking I could fix and that did not work as it appears the stem is stripped. The second scooter is fine and we have no problems with it so apparently we just received one faulty one and one good one. The faulty one I rate ZERO stars and the good one would be FOUR stars. Not sure what to do with the bad one at this point. Will have to follow up with Razor's warranty process.
