WORKPRO 450-Piece Socket Set

I picked this kit just to try it in a professional setting, as a heavy plant mechanic my tools take a pounding daily so I thought instead of going with snap on of Mac ,I would give these a try and will be honest I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised by the quality, value for money and the durability of this tool set, the spanners are thick and very comfortable to use and the rest of the set is pretty much the same, heavy duty and for the price I'm honestly shocked, the only thing I wasn't keen on was the fact that the ratchets come dry so I had to lube them myself but other than that it's 10 out of 10 for me.

Good quality procuts for incredible value for money. There is soo much in there, and then some. Ig you work on cars. This box would be hugely helpfull. I would wait for christmas, as I got it for £120 or something like that!

Iv had mine 3 years now and it has almost everything a driveway mechanic needs. 1 ratchet has broken in this time and iv replaced it and also 1 adaptor. I havent found another tool box that is this small and still has all the tools you'll need, for this price, i have easily made my money back on it by saving on garage bills. There is enough room in the top lid compartment to add tool to your collection also.

I generally like this kit its give you a very good selection of sockets, more than you would generally get in other socket sets. However it lacks some of the usual accessories such as extension bars. Surprisingly no 1/2 long extension bar, instead all that is supplied is a very short one. This is a little disappointing as its a given in any other set, so I went for some Liberaton extension bars to extend the set. The ratchets are weighty if somewhat basic, not a professonal level at all. I decided to once again go for some Liberaton ratchets to enhance the kit. So to finish off, a good kit for sockets and screwdriver bits, but for necessary accessories it lets itself down.

On arrival, the hex driver was already broken. The magnet fell out on the first bit I used, and subsequently broke in half and was unable to be reinserted. Now the bits will not stay in and using the tool is a headache. Most of the tools are good for everyday use, but be careful putting any amount of torque on them. I used the 3/4 to 3/8 adapter and put maybe 75 ft/lbs of torque on it, and it snapped right off. For most jobs these tools will get the job done, and there is a good assortment, but the strength and longevity of them I would question.

Don’t hesitate unless you require super smooth ratchets, fabulous beginners socket sets

Pieces snapped easily and the sockets do not fit the ratchet handle. Looks good but deceiving.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Meins ist sehr schwer zu öffnen hoffe es gibt sich mit der Zeit. Ohne Plastikabdeckung fliegt das Werkzeug durcheinander. Habe es für 169€ bekommen.

Not bad

This is a great tool set for the money. It's durable enough that with a cheater bar you can get off even the toughest bolts or nuts without breaking the ratchet or bending a wrench. However, I find 2 problems with this set. 1. The size imprints on the sockets are pretty shallow making them difficult to read on the chrome. 2. The case is not the least bit water resistant. I found this out because I was working on my brakes when it started raining. I quickly put up the ratchet and socket I was using, closed up the box and ran inside. When I came back out, not only were the trays filled up with water, the interior walls of the box and the lid were filled with water also. To make matters worse I can't get it out unless I drill holes in the box. This of course is no fault of the seller or manufacturer. It's my fault for leaving them outside. I'm only mentioning this as a word of caution. 3. After the rain, I emptied everything out and dried out the trays and tools. To my dismay though all of the Allen wrenches and small bits (Phillips, flathead, torx, etc) were extremely rusted 2 days later. Basically,everything painted black was rusty. All of the chrome pieces were still shiny and new looking. All and all, still a great value for the money and I would recommend this set to any shade tree mechanic looking for a quality set of tools.
