FlomastaBottom Inlet Brass Shank Fill Valve ½"

I have a regular toilet once again. Thing works as should... flushhhhhh

This worked perfectly for a whole year and then started moaning as it began refilling the cistern, had to replace with another which I hope lasts longer before waking me up in the night

Good value, took 5 mins to install, seems a vast improvement on the old leaky valve and ball cock and takes up far less space. Cant comment on durability as only just installed. Do watch though as the thread end is about 5mm shorter than others.

I fitted this myself, with no previous experience and found it quite easy. It works well, is generally quieter than my old one and has solved my pipe vibration issues. Only downside is it sometimes squeaks just before it fills up.

This is the second Flomaster Inlet Valve I have purchased. It is well made and easy to fit requiring no wrench to tighten the fitting. The rubber sealing washer is cone shaped and nice and thick. A water tight seal is assured just by tightening the winged nut with fingers. It fills very quietly too. The water level fill height is easy to adjust.

Note this has only been fitted a week, so no verdict on longevity.It fitted easily enough, and is quieter than the quiet-fill unit that it replaced (and probably fills at least as rapidly). I prefer attaching to a brass thread, as this has, although in practice I'm not sure it is a genuine advantage unless you're enthusiastic with a spanner. Build quality looks fit for purpose. Based on experience so far, I would recommend.

Easy to replace broken unit. Fixed the issue I had. Can't comment on durability only time will tell but felt well built and solid
