Beautiful!
I used these for the legs of a large (heavy!) gateleg dining table. The castings are precise, well finished (none of that tacky cheap looking streaky “antique brass” finish) and durable. I ordered these BECAUSE the country of origin (India) was listed. Indian brass casting is generally superb, as opposed to, well, you know where (if I write it, Amazon won’t publish this review - a serious problem!). Also - this table rests on a thick Persian carpet. Remember that for carpets you need a broad wheel (these are around 3/4 inch wide) and one that is not rubber or rubber coated (they’re for hard surfaces like wood or tile). Nevertheless, a very slight crowning of the wheel cross section will help these from scratching or gouging even on hard surfaces. Very thoughtful, unlike, well, you know…..

Exceptional Quality and Elegance
I recently embarked on a furniture restoration project involving a vintage China buffet, and I must say that the Solid Brass Stem Casters I used truly exceeded my expectations. As a Brass Wolf Workshop artisan, I've encountered various products over the years, but these casters stood out in terms of both functionality and aesthetics. The brass finish exudes a timeless sophistication that seamlessly complements the vintage charm of the China buffet. Not only do they provide excellent mobility, allowing me to easily move the heavy piece for cleaning and rearranging, but they also enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the furniture.

They look very nice. Good quality.
I like them, they look very pretty. Now it is much Easier to move the dinning table for cleaning and passing the vacuum cleaner. The tables are not moving all over the place unless I move them. Easier to install specially the large wheels. Thank you for making this product!

Great casters
These casters are beautiful and utilitarian. Added to a side table inherited to be able to move when want to use as a small desk. Rolls easily but without so much give that it can be moved just by the dogs passing. Perfect!

Look good and seem to work well
These look nice on my desk and seem to work well/roll smoothly. We had a handyman here and he offered to put them on the desk for me - but they looked easy to install and I wouldn't have had an issue adding them to the desk myself. Time till tell if they are sturdy enough - but, at present, they look and feel like a quality product.

Material has changed, these are not solid brass
I bought a set of these over a year ago for my coffee table and had no issues installing them. I did scratch some of the paint off during the install, but that doesn't bother me. The last image I posted shows these casters and you can see the yellowish color of the metal, as expected if the casters are solid brass. I love them and they have held up very well so I decided to get another set for a chair. I first ordered a used set, but found that the screws on one of the casters was much longer than the others and was stripped of threads at the base (photo attached). Also, the metal is silver colored, not brass colored, indicating these are not solid brass. When I started to install it, I found the base was not attached to the screw so there was no way for me to install it so I returned it and bought a new set. I drilled holes in the chair for the large and small screws. Unlike the casters I installed on my coffee table, the base of these shredded with relatively little torque applied (I drilled holes, they should have, at minimum, held up to being screwed in) and revealed a soft silvery metal underneath (my guess is aluminum, definitely not solid brass). I was able to get it on but when I started to add the screws, the tops sheared off with very light torque applied! I've never experienced such weak screws (see photo). My guess is these are also made of aluminum. I was annoyed but figured I'd go get some stainless steel screws at the hardware store to use instead. When I began to install the second caster, almost immediately, after light torque was applied to install it in the hole I drilled, the base separated from the screw. That was when I gave up, accepted these are pure junk, likely made of aluminum, definitely not solid brass, and definitely not the same as the set I have on my coffee table. Don't waste your time with these. If you do, look at the color of the metal under the paint (it will come off at the base or the screw as you install it). If it doesn't look like brass (if it looks silvery, no yellow/gold) return it, do not waste your time and money on these. Unless you want to use them as a paperweight, not sure they would be useful for any other purpose.

Great quality for the price
I've been shopping around for small casters. Similar styles can run to $20 apiece from the restoration and refinishing retailers. I just received this 4-pack of antiqued brushed brass casters, and I'm very pleased. They are heavy, the rolling action is smooth, the finish isn't cheesy-looking, and they are silent. The box is marked "made in India," and the card included in the box directed me to the seller's website, where they sell a broad selection of hardware. I think it's a small family-run factory in India. Much nicer casters than the Chinese ones I bought last week. Highly recommend.

These little casters are a nice replacement for the original seized-up porcelain and iron casters on the legs of an antique loveseat and ladies chair I recently had re-upholstered. These casters have very slight variations in the hand finish which adds to their hand-made authenticity. They are well-matched, nicely designed and crafted, however the quality control is a little lax. One of the eight does not swivel well. I tried to lubricate it but lubrication did not resolve the problem. I suspect the problem is a slightly bent shaft at the swivel. They are really quite expensive so I expected they would work flawlessly. Considering they were shipped from India, they were delivered in a timely manner.

These castors were for an Indian-made wood traditional table, which also had some lattice ironwork. These castors are a perfect match as they 'fit' the style of the table very well. They also work as castors, too!
