Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen

Now 9 roasts deep into the 11 that Amazon has available for streaming, I can see a unique character developing for each one. It might seem obvious at first glance, but I promise that it isn't. Yes, they recycle a lot of jokes even though they may tailor them to specific people, but I'm not really referring to those. What I mean is how the production is tailored to each roast honoree. Although it is mostly confined to the introduction, you can see how the animations are unique in their own way, and the choice of song when the man/woman of honor enters. Maybe I'm putting a little too much thought into a comedy special, but at least Comedy Central did. The earlier ones were kind of anonymous in that kind of detail (or maybe I just didn't notice it until now), but it is clear that CC is getting into kind of a groove. As for the jokes, I continue to hear a lot of recycled material, particularly before each roaster gets to the main person. They're still funny, but the enthusiasm of my laughter does decline with each repetition. Thankfully, Charlie Sheen has had significant enough of a career and personal failings with which to generate comedic material. My personal favorites were Anthony Jeselnik, Amy Schumer, and Patrice O'Neal. Mike Tyson was tolerable at best, and way too many barbs were directed at him, distracting from the main event. It also didn't help that he couldn't keep his mouth shut when it wasn't his turn. Anyway, I digress. I found the level of humor acceptable, and Charlie Sheen himself equally adept at dishing it as taking it. Overall, in the upper echelon of these Comedy Central roasts.

Many people were not impress with the roast of Charlie Sheen. I actually personally enjoy this roast, the comedians had lots to work with and made sure to use every good line they could come up with. Plus some of the jokes were actually funny and great one liners from a few of the comdians. I also enjoy the ending when Sheen is talking to the people "no more winning, because I've already won."Those who bad mouth this roast sure could have more bonus features, but the comedians were funny and video at beginning was very funny.So if you want to watch something with some good laughs, great one liners, and a great preshow on the red carpet then pick this dvd up and sit back and enjoy some good laughs at the expense of Charlie Sheen.

I'll keep this short and its part my opinion but I just HAD to say it. The whole roast was pretty good until Amy Schumer. She makes a comment about the death of Ryan Dunn and its past inappropriate. Aside from that this was another great roast with an amazing cast. Hoping in the next few years they can get a megastar like Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt ect. Great movie and well worth buying.

All the roasts are funny and this one is no exception.Amazon says it's a manufactured disc on demand but that doesn't mean you'll just get some DVD-R in a cheap flimsy cd sleeve. The produce comes shrink wrapped in a full size DVD case with jacket artwork so it's legit.

I'm not a big comedy fan. I like to laugh and I like to watch shows that have some humor but I'm not a fan of a lot of the comedy movies out there that are just "comedy". But this was effing funny. Laughed the whole time and my belly hurt!

Funnier than hell. A must for those who love to laugh their ass off!!! Amy Shumer had me on the floor!!

Exceedingly brutal and cruel. Not a lot of political correctness to be found here at all. But between cringes many of us laughed so hard we snorted.

The Comedy Central roast of Charlie Sheen was hilarious!! The roasters don't hold back at all!! If you don't own this product already, it is a must buy!!
