This is a very expensive telescope, and you can get more functionality for less cost by looking at manual options, however, the easy of use and portability, combined with the computer chip output into the eyepiece I think this will be my favorite scope for showing my friends and family things in the sky. I am already making plans to visit friends to show this off. Review: I love my Odyssey telescope. I love my Odyssey telescope. I was up and observing the universe in 10 minutes and I am getting spectacular photos of planets, nebulas, star clusters. I have a new hobby!

When I was a kid we had a telescope. We were able to see some planets for a short time before they drifted out of view. And trying to take a picture? Not a chance. The Odyssey is so easy to use it's embarrassing. Take it outside under a night sky and hit the on button. The telescope does the rest. Look through the menu, pick a target and there it is. Want a picture? Just hit the button. The Odyssey is small, light and can easily be transported. There are 2 choices, the Odyssey and the Odyssey Pro. The Pro model has a better camera and an eyepiece. I have the Pro and have never really used the eyepiece. If you are at a star party with many people the eyepiece is really cool. The regular Odyssey is substantially cheaper. You can't go wrong with either one.

Nice telescope, a bit pricey but it does a good job. clarity on distant objects is not really that good. Saturn is blurry but you can make out the rings. I will purchase a bigger telescope in the future.
