Pretty great camera, required a little effort to make it compatible
I added these to an existing Onwote system (a 4MP camera system). Onwote support was excellent and helped me to update my old NVR firmware to be able to display the time accurately on this new model. Took a bit of work but was worth the payoff.

This 5MP ip camera i garbage
I bought the 5MP ip camera back in January reading reviews of how good this camera is especially at night with no light. thought 2k resolution would be nice, night pictures looked impressive and the price was good comparing to other brands. i got the one with audio recording, i didn't have time to fire up the camera right away so i connected the camera after couple of weeks, just set it up on my POE switch and connected my tablet to it with Danale app, what can i say, day light streaming the D1 Sub stream on the tablet was decent, nice view angle, color , so i hit recording to my tablet and this i where my expectations started going down, the recorded video was laggy and choppy, night came in and the video started getting even worse. don't get me wrong, the image quality at night is nice, as long as there's no motion, so i stepped outside to test the recording and let me tell you this POS didn;t even catch me walking outside 10 ft in front of it, i purposely stood still for 3 seconds so that i can look back at the video and see if i recognize myself, well let me tell you, i couldn;t even recognize myself because the camera didn;t even caught me standing still, all i could see in the footage was like the shadow moving, i mean at night this thing is recording like 1 frame per 15 seconds which makes it useless for security, records fine in day time. So i thought maybe it's the recording to my tablet. a week later i setup my Blueiris pc and gave it a try, everything wired , FYI i'm a network tech, so my gear in my house is on the level, UNIFI, same thing, i wanted to return the camera back but i'm past the 30 days since i didn;t have time to set it up, and now i'm stuck with this piece of junk, BTW 5mp res is only 15fps daytime, at night like i said 1fps. Will never buy another one of these. No firmware updates, on the official website. Should've went with a more reputable brand.

Overal value price vs performance = Good camera that is Onvif compatible
Overall the camera's work pretty well with my FPS set to 25 FPS for higher resolution. I purchased this camera to work with my Synlogy Surveillance system software that integrates nicely cause its ONVIF . The audio doesnt seem to work well for me, though the devices are 16 ft in the air. Night vision and video might be best in class for this price point. I ordered 3 different cameras and tried each one and this was the best one. Customer service was a little rough at first when trying to call Onwote and email support initially was a bit slow on the weekend. However, Onwote replaced my cameras that had an issue powering on and/or not displaying video. I have 6 of these units.

Great Product
First off - I love this camera. The way the base work is much better than my old analog cameras. These camera's aren't the cheapest, but to me 2 things stand out. The IR range is 90 feet. And that 90 feet is with a single IR emitter. And unlike my old cameras, you have to really strain to see the camera at night - the old ones were red glowing rings at night.I will say there was a bug in the firmware as shipped - the camera would set to 24 hours off of the actual date. Two days after contacting the manufacturer, they had a new firmware for me to install and these have been rock star camera's since.

Quality Cameras with Incredible Picture
I purchased 4 of these cameras to add to the 4 camera system that I have. They have an excellent quality of picture and the night vision is incredible. We don’t even have street lights in our neighborhood so it is very dark. The cameras, themselves, are Very easy to set up as well. My only issues are the fact that the cameras and the NVR as a whole system don’t come with any instructions and there are so many features. If you are not very computer or electronics literate, it is very overwhelming. I also had issues making the mobile app work. It’s not very simple and the fact that there is no manual to follow, makes it even worse.

Add on camera
Fifth camera on my system. Works perfectly, as all have in the past. Support may be by email, but they have always given me the answer to a problem. Suffice to say, this time the problem was ME, and they even managed to straighten that one out. KUDOS to Onwote.

Perfect!
Purchased to go with our Onwote POE 16 channel NVR. Well made. Excellent quality. Good night vision. We purchased the audible version which may be helpful in some security situations. This is our second Onwote system with absolutely no complaints. Their tech support, if needed, is quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommend your consideration while you're shopping around for a security system. The POE really makes it a good fit for DIYers.

Okay quality
So this review is based on someone who's in IT, has set up lots of cameras and doesn't necessarily need to read manuals to get things going. The setup may/may not have been easier based on this. There are 2 reasons why this is going back.1a) the night vision from 2 IR LEDs is subpar. I got maybe 30' of illumination of my back yard vs the 100' suggested. Any other light source caused the image to be completely black meaning you basically have to point this at the ground to avoid any potential light. My neighbours living room is about 100' away and the dim light source there seemed to be crazy bright for the camera.1b) The hood that shields the camera from the elements was also a contributing factor to IR leakage. I got a bit of white reflection at the top of the video stream as I'm guessing the IR just reflected off of that hood.2) Every powercycle of the camera - it was poe powered - caused the IP to revert back to its default of 192.168.0.123 even though I had set it to DHCP and then to a custom static ip. I went back into the settings after the first time this happened and it was still set for DHCP. It showed the IP from the DHCP server but I could only access the camera on its default 192.168.0.123. I set it for a static IP and the same thing happened. Note, this didn't happen if the camera rebooted itself but only if it lost power.Daytime image quality was very good. Audio quality is meh - you're not going to get studio quality sound but there was very little hissing. The IP thing is a straight deal breaker for me so... I'll keep looking. Setup because of the pre-assigned IP was a bit challenging - especially if your home network doesn't use the 192.168.0.x IP range. Basically you have to change your network to work with this camera - or create a vlan with that ip range. I suspect this would work flawlessly if that is your home network's ip range and you didn't have to change anything.Good luck!

Beautiful image - solidly built!
We bought over 20 of these cameras. We installed them on the outside of our building and they've been great. We connected them to a third party NVR through the camera's ONVIF capabilities - which worked great.

Great daytime image, nighttime image poor
I've had two of these for six months now, using Synology Surveillance station on a Synology NAS. They've worked fine over poe at 2fps continuous recording. The daytime image quality is very good and stills are excellent. However, at night, although a static image is reasonable, any movement dissolves into blur and ghosting. That includes people at walking speed. It is possible to manually set the night shutter speed but the options are too coarse to get any fine control without the image becoming too dark.

One or two issues
This is a review of the 5 meg static camera.I've purchased two of these, one as a spare. The picture quality is excellent for the price both day and night. However i have had an issue with water ingress. The installed camera is up a 20 foot pole, so i purchased two of these cameras so i could just replace the one up the pole and service it on the ground should i have problems. Recently the one fitted started getting condensation on the inside of the lens cover. As there is no immediately visible way into this camera, IE no screws showing, I decided to dismantle the spare one first before working in a digger bucket up the pole. The IR transparent front unclips to reveal four screw holes, when i went to undo these i found that they were already loose, they were not fully tightened at the factory. This was an un used camera straight from the box.Once i had dismantled it for reference i went up the pole to the one with condensation. On unclipping the front cover to access the screws, the front cover had become brittle and it cracked. This is after only 6 months of use. I also found that the screws on this camera had not been tightened at the factory from new as well and this was letting moisture past the seal.Once i had aired the camera to let the moisture dry out i replaced the silica gel pack and reassembled, having super glued the crack in the front cover. My conclusion is that this is still a good camera for the price. But it is well worth any other purchasers taking 5 mins to unclip the front cover and check the tightness of the front screws to prevent the same problems i have had.Another small issue for me is the lack of reset button on the camera. To reset the camera to factory you have to use the IP search tool supplied via a laptop on the network. I don't normally have a laptop connected on the network, i just use the camera wired to an old router and straight to a NVR as a stand alone system. This is more of a gripe, but it is inconvenient.I would still purchase more of these cameras even knowing these issues, they are good value. It's just worth noting that i have found no spares available for these cameras, so a preemptive check is well worth stopping problems before they happen.
