This product is a little difficult to use (as all optical clear coat sprays seem to be), and so it's worth perhaps practicing with handling the spray before trying on an actual headlight. You need to get just enough to fully wet the surface of the headlight, spray steadily and consistently to try to avoid introducing air bubbles to the surface, but not spray so long that the clear coat starts to run. It takes a bit of a knack, but if you get it right, it looks near flawless.

I restored the headlamps and they still looked hazy and milky. After applying the product, the headlamps looked like new almost. Not sure how long it will last, but the coating seems to be quite tough. Follow the instructions. As it does say allow a good 24 hours before driving thee car amd exposing the treated areas to water. The product seems to have dried hard after about 1 hour. And I will use the car tomorrow. Also worked well on the rear high level brake light which had turned pink and hazy. Now looks like new.

I applied this after spending a lot of time buffing and polishing a UV light damaged polycarb headlamp cover, so good to find a UV protective, polycarb compatible glaze. I'm no stranger to using aerosol paint sprays, but the polished cover looked slightly better prior to using this than afterwards, perhaps owing to some overspray which I'll tackle at a later date. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, but there is scope to make a mess of it if unused to spray painting.

I did lots of prep on the affected car headlights, which were very bad, using one sheet of wet and dry at 400, 800 and 1200 on each headlight, so a total of six sheets using the entire sheet each time. I also used it wet, not dry. It did not look like it was going to work as each time I washed the headlights with clean water they still looked obscured. However, as soon as I sprayed the lacquer on it transformed them and they now look almost like new, a massive improvement. The only thing I have noticed is that when it rains it leaves marks on the lenses where the water droplets have sat but they wipe off and it still looks good. Do not be impatient with how much you spray on, its not worth it. Take the extra time, keep the coats thin and let them dry before applying more. I was borderline with lacquer build up but just got away with it. I spent a lot of time doing the prep and should have been just as patient applying the lacquer.
