Picked this up as a replacement remote for our Insignia TV, and it worked right out of the box. Setup was quick—just paired it and it was ready to go. The voice control is smooth and makes navigating so much easier than clicking around. Build quality feels just like the original, and it’s nice knowing it works across multiple Fire TV devices. A simple, reliable fix if your old remote goes missing or stops working.

These replacement remotes have been perfect in every way to replace the originals that got chewed on by our golden doodle. Except for one, annoying nag that pops up more frequently than it should. We get a message on the TV screen that says the remote is being updated and not to use it while the process takes place. It says it can be up to two minutes. Well, most of the time, it exceeds two minutes and now we generally just exit out so we can watch our shows. Not sure what's going on here, but it's annoying. Other than that, no complaints. Great build quality, good, responsive buttons and nice battery life. Functions and looks exactly like the originals that came with our Fire sticks.

I have an old Firestick that still works fine for what I do, but the remote started freezing, sometimes after a minute, other times after an hour or even a day. To get it un-froxzenm i would have to take the battery out (removing just one worked), then put it back in, and the remote would work again, sometimes for a minute, but at lease I could use it! I tried a complete reset of the remote, but again it worked for an short time then was back to the same freeze-up behavior. The new one was very inexpensive, and seems to be an exact replacement. Amazon knows what firestick I have, and on the page with the new remote, there was a little message that confirmed that I was looking at the right replacement. The pairing went fine, and it didn't take any other button pushing (in my case) for the new remote to control the TV and the soundbar. If there are any problems, I'll update this review but if a few weeks pass and you don't see any complaints, it means the remote is working well.
