NEW 2 TON CAR VAN HOME MECHANIC LOW PROFILE 80mm HYDRAULIC TROLLEY FLOOR JACK

This item arrived today, upon opening the box (literally just shipped the retail box, no padding or wrapping to protect the product), there were loose parts rattling around inside. Stuck the pieces back on and took it out and tried jacking up the car (MX5 mk1, extremely light car) the jack wouldn't raise, it feels as if the ram seals or something are defective, even under zero load it won't raise the arm, I shall be returning this for a return.Even if the ram was working and I was able to lift the car up, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell i would get underneath if this jack was the only thing keeping the vehicle from dropping onto me. The quality of the welding is atrocious, perhaps the worst welding i've ever seen in a commercial product (and that includes cheap chinese gym equipment). To say this thing is rated for 200kg never mind 2000kg is hilarious and will be putting people at risk. I am a welder by trade and this would never pass inspection.Avoid at all costs, spend a little more and get a named brand.
