Superb piece of glass. Really sturdy....build quality feels premium. And there is very slight reflection (cuz its not the PRO series) and transparency is great. A lot of reviews say that there is loss of image quality when using a filter and so on. I never noticed any significant difference in the image quality though. There is a bit of softness when you zoom in a lot in the picture but in reality, why would anyone zoom in to the maximum! Instead get yourself a better lens. My main aim of buying this filter was for protection and believe me, it's really quality stuff that can withstand bangs; not those cheap plastic filters! This filter was never made for the professionals but was made for those amateurs who want to consider photography as a profession and want quality equipment in a budget. Definitely a thumbs of this filter. I'll recommend it to anyone.

The item is used old and full of fungus. This seller is very bed. I have received three 55mm hoya filters from him all having fungus. The import date is August 2018. I have been using hoya filters for more then 12 years. The product is very good but this seller is selling old used fungus infested filters. The new order place to the same party got me a even worst filter. filter is used one. Date of import is April 2012! Oil marks and fungus on glass
