ECSEM Replacement Soft Silicone Bands and Straps for Garmin Vivosmart HR (Black)

Struggled to get the band replaced through Garmin. Since the warranty on my vivosmart HR + just expired, the support center in Delhi gave me a quote of 11500/- for replacement of the band. I would never look at buying Garmin watches again if the spares and service is more expensive than getting a new watch. Also tried ordering a strap through Amazon which did not fit Garmin vivosmart HR + well and finally ordered the ECSEM replacement band. ECSEM band for VHS+ is pretty much like the original band and fits VHS+ perfectly.

Just installed this replacement band on my Garmin Vivosmart HR+, and am very pleased how well it looks and fits. I first removed the portion of the old strap with the buckle (the strap portion with the opening for the button) from the display of the HR+, cleaned the corresponding mounting area of the HR+ display portion with isopropyl alcohol, and then attached the matching end of the new strap portion using the original screws. I then removed the other strap portion (with the size adjustment slots) from the HR+ display portion, cleaned off remnants of silicone rubber adhesive (that Garmin used to secure the strap to the HR+ display portion) from the other end of the HR+ display portion, and used a toothpick to put a small amount of clear GE silicone adhesive on the inside surfaces of the open end of the new slotted strap portion. I then slipped the open end of the new slotted strap portion over the other end of the HR+ display portion, and secured it with the original screws while maintaining pressure to close the strap-to-display portion joint. Care is necessary so as not to disturb/damage what appears to be an antenna visible at the end of the HR+ display portion that is covered by the open end of the slotted strap portion. The installed band looks just like the Garmin band, although the buckle is more shiny and doesn't say "Garmin," and the little loop used to hold any excess length of the slotted strap portion does not have the small protrusion inside that keeps the loop in position. Overall, I'm very happy with this product. Now I'll see how long it lasts. The original lasted almost 2 years.

After being told that Garmin did not have replacement straps by a vendor at a running expo, I searched online and found ECSEM. They sent the band quickly and with the required tools. The band was fairly easy to replace and works well. One minor complaint, the one side does not fit as tightly as it could but this only affects the aesthetics, everything else looks and works perfectly.

Be careful. This does not fit all Vivosmart HR+ activity trackers. The strap that fits over the power button fit like a glove with no issues. There is no way the strap with the latch is fitting on the opposite side of my Garmin Vivosmart HR+ activity tracker. It doesn’t line up, and there is an interference between the activity tracker and the strap. It’s impossible for it to slide on to the tracker. And the tool they send you is too small to remove the screws. You need a T6 torx bit. Throw the tool they send you in the trash. It’s as much junk as the latch strap is for my application. It’s a complete waste of money. Will not buy again. Cannot recommend.

Feels sturdy and comfortable, and the buckle is even shinier than the original. Fits the watch button snugly and clicks with no problem. Only downside is that the little rubber band to hold the extra strap length at the end is pretty flimsy. It slides around because it doesn't have a tab that secures into the wrist band slot like the Garmin strap.
