Like a house. However..
I was amazed at the quality of this tent, however weakness in the material the poles are constructed out of led to one of them snapping at the joint, rendering the tent useless from the get go of my 11 day camping trip. Not the kind of thing you want to happen to you upon set up. I hope this was just a defect in quality of materials, because everything else about the tent was impressive. From the cut of the fabric to the design (would have been nice to have a window in the rain fly so you can have some more choice of how much airflow VS. privacy you get out of this tent. As it is you can either have it open air where all 4 sides are see-thru mesh material. The alternative which is covering it with the entire rain fly which only has opening around the bottom perimeter, and a zip door.I wasn't able to get an idea of how much airflow there is when covered with the rain fly. But this was a concern I didn't get to experience because of the tent breaking upon set-up.Overall a cool purchase and was very excited to get to use it! Kelty's construction seems to be on point. However they overlooked the integrity of their pole connections with this one. Disappointing to say the least. It could ruin a camping trip for you!

Not a regular camper, but I love this tent!
After many weeks of research and watching youtube videos of various tent reviews, as well as videos showing individual tent set up, I settled on this. To me, a large amount of tent-screen was the priority. I hate sweating tents in the mornings, one of the reasons I don't regularly camp!I set this up on my own (5'9") without any issues. the tent uses only two poles, so getting those set up requires a lot of space (they are jointed and when all joined are at least 15 feet long), but even in our small backyard where I did a trial run, I was able to make it work. The interior was huge. We are a four-person family, though this trip I only needed it for me and one child. We took up about half of it, maybe a little less than half. There are places to hang lanterns and our tent fan. the door was easy to zip and unzip.packed up it's a medium size. It's not heavy. It's kind of like a large duffle bag that you pack it in. Good enough for car camping, though I'd not want to carry it more than 1/2 a mile.We used a regular heavy-duty tarp beneath it and as a porch. The stakes bent when I did the trial run in our yard. There must be some large stones underground. Definitely buy spares, which you probably would, anyway. The seams seem strong, though it's only been used the one time so far. However, the ease of use, the space, and the temperature within made me feel like we could camp more often in this thing.

Too hot when the sun is shining.
Easy to put up, but very hot in the daytime. Be sure there is some shade if you expect to use it when the sun is shining.

Amazing Tent
I purchased this right before a 13 night camping trip around the mid-west. Not only was it amazingly spacious, but I was able to assemble it on my own with very little trouble despite being almost a foot shorter than it. It's solidly waterproof. I had at least three major rainstorms during my trip and it did great. I'm so glad I purchased it. It was definitely worth it. Although, I did need to use a tarp underneath it. I do recommend getting the footprint for it.

Totally Massive
This tent Sequoia 6 tent is HUGE! I researched the living daylights out of 6-person tents and spent hours checking out all the professional outdoor gear reviews before buying this. I ultimately ended up buying this for three reasons. First, it's a Kelty, and they back up their products better than any other outdoor company out there right now (I bought a $400 tent years ago from a well-known company and it got torn apart in the wind. The company (I'm keeping it unknown) charged $100 to fix it. Kelty, on the other hand, recently fixed up my 25-year-old tent for FREE -- other than me paying the cost to send it to them). Second, it has STEEL poles! My biggest concern about all of the other 6-person tents in the market right now is that they either have fiberglass (run away if you want to hold onto your investment) or aluminum (great for weight, but still fragile). The Kodiak Canvas has steel poles, but that's super expensive. Third, this tent is really big. REI sells the Hut tent that is almost completely identical to this one except for a few things, but this tent is taller and has more square feet (the Hut does have more bells and whistles though, but it comes with aluminum poles instead of steel). The tent weighs approximately 25 lbs. Technically, it's 23.14. It measures 112x112x82, which translates to 9.3 feet long and wide and 6 8in tall. It comes with steel stakes, which I think are about 8 inches long (I bought their 12 inch steel stakes offered on Kelty's website). The carrying sack appears durable enough to transport the tent, and I appreciate the Coleman-like carrying case that opens right down the center (but don't worry because, unlike a Coleman case, you can actually easily store the tent back into it without any trouble).I have a few wishes with this tent. First, while the steel poles are going to make this thing so stinking durable, I do wish that they used heavier and more durable fabric other than the 68D polyester. Don't get me wrong, that is still durable, but I would have liked something more durable like the 150D floors you get from the competitors. I bought the footprint that goes with this tent, which I highly recommend doing. Second, the gear loft loops are so far spread apart that I can't find any gear loft in the market that would fit for this thing. One of the best surprises about this tent is that it does actually come with steel stakes (probably 8-10 inches long), and Kelty gives you enough stakes to cover every loop and guy-out point. This seems to be something that never happens in my experience. After staking the tent down tight, I was able to set the tent up and take it down by myself. However, I can see this being more difficult to set up if you're shorter than 5'6 and don't have a stepping stool to stand on, because the brow poles made me stretch to put those in (and I'm 5'11).I do recommend this tent. It's huge, comfortable to sleep in, wind resistent, and my kids loved it. While it could sleep 6 people just fine, like all tents, it fits 5 people more comfortably. I imagine I'll be using this thing for many years.

Love Kelty
Great tent. Easy to stand up and move around in. We used it during the fall season, I would expect it would get pretty hot inside during summer with the fly on. Poles are very long so putting up in a tight space could be challenging.

Great Tent
I think this tent is awesome. It was easy to setup and take down. It is also very spacious. I was surprised that I had to buy the footprint separate. Overall

Perfect tent
This tent is perfect. It’s so roomy, easy to put up with two people, and is quite cozy. I used it for a week straight and had no complaints. It even rained and I didn’t have a problem. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Great 6 person
This tent needs to be properly staked.First night I didn't set it up properly and in a thunderstorm, we ended up having water pool up in the canopy right above and drip a little. Definitely user error, but the flat top of the tent requires special attention during set up.It's easy enough to set up that I could do it myself, although someone much shorter than me (im 5-10) might have difficulty with the poles. The zippers and overall construction are excellent, this will be my go-to tent for trips that I can afford the size/weight.

Nice BIG tent
Setting up is a wee bit tricky by yourself. Get help the first couple of times. I have no idea why this doesn't come with a footprint. Its not even available on Amazon.ca. Im using a tarp for a ground sheet. Love being able to walk into and out of this tent. Lots of room.

Turned out way too large so sold it to friends. Loved it otherwise.
