FABULOUS DEVICE!
I purchased it for the purpose of a play item for the kids. They really love to play veterinarians with our pets and this device is fabulous because not only it allows you to hear to the heartbeat but also you canhave TWO!!! headsets connected to it so either two kids can listen at the same time - which eliminates the need to wait turn, or a parent and a child can listen to it and discuss the rhythm etc..We have it for few years now and it works impeccably. You can EASILY listen to the heart of a pet or a human, the sound is very good, clear and very detailed. It is a quality of the best stethoscopes.I love the fact that you can so easily hear the beat. I love the fact that it is battery operated therefore it is also amplified so you have no problem hear the heart. Two headsets option is huge bonus.Fabulous little device!

Works!
Got this for my wife as a maternity gift around 5 months in. Figured it would be pretty neat to be able to listen to the kid's heartbeat as it grew.Gotta say, it's worked very well. I love that we can both listen with the dual earbuds.Another cool this was that today (We're 7 months in now) the fetus decided it didn't want to beat her guts out for a while and my wife got worried. It was relieving to her to be able to check out the heartbeat. It makes me feel a lot better when she doesn't have to worry.

Can't hear heartbeat, but still fun to use
This product is a fun way to hear the baby hicccup and kick. I haven't heard the heartbeat of the baby yet, but there's still plenty of time because I'm only 29 weeks. My advice is not to get your hopes up if you don't hear the baby's heartbeat. My friends have the same product and are about 24 weeks...they were able to hear their baby. I think the position of the baby is a very important factor and not necessarily the fault of the device.

Like a stethoscope
You can hear the sounds of your stomach, but it doesn't sound different than someone not pregnant. I don't think it's strong enough to actually hear the baby's heartbeat because the only sounds I hear from my baby is when he kicks. Yet, when I go to my doctor's office, they hear the heartbeat just fine right away--and it's loud. I don't see how this device is different from a stethoscope since you have to be a doctor to differentiate the sounds being emmited from it.

Fun and would buy for a friend
I am 18 weeks and a first time mom. I am not sure if I am far enough along but really enjoy the product. I have not been able to listen to a heartbeat but can tell something is moving around.

purchased for daughter-in-law
She is thrilled to have it, pleased with the product, and it has brought her MUCH peace of mind. She had a friend who lost a child before birth. It is very comforting for her to hear the baby's heartbeat, even when the baby is still, so that she knows everything is ok. We were pleased with the company, the delivery and the product.

Terrible
This thing sucked. It picks up static and every movement you make while trying to find the heartbeat. While you hold it to move it, it will pick up the sound of your fingers if you are shaky. It just plane sucks and I am so sad I wasted my money. The only way I could even find my own heartbeat was to put it up to my chest. I used my friends today at her house and we found it in the matter of 5 minutes. I came home to put it in the same spot and once again disappointed. My friend has the angelsound. I just bought one on ebay since amazon doesn't have it. It costed 20$ shipping and all. What a waste of money for this graco one. I wish I could return it. I don't have the packaging.

Good product for curious parents
The max volume setting is not very loud, but if you attach it to exterior speakers it otherwise works well. It comes with 3 sets of ear phones, so at least you have a couple back ups (and they work with just about any other personal listening device!).

Not a good Product.
Waste of money. Couldn't hear baby's heart beat at all even at the last trimester of pregnancy. I would buy a better one.
