This is one of my favourite math based books. I use it every year with my grade 1s. I have other copies but decided I needed another one because it is in such high demand in my classroom when we do our study of 2D shapes.

This book was recommended on a recent course I attended on how to use stories to support maths learning. I ordered it and I have not been disappointed. It provides lots of opportunities to discuss the properties of 2D shapes and also consider the shapes of every day objects. This book was thoroughly enjoyed and I will be using it again! It is American but that did not cause a problem!

triangleが自分がtriangleであることに飽きて様々な形を経て、結局triangleであることのよさに気づくお話です。形だけでなく、自分であることのすばらしさに気がつかせてくれるお話でした。triangleがありますが、息子は腕を腰に当てたときにtriangleが気に入っています。

This is a great story to supplement learning about 2D shapes. Great way to show how shapes change by adding an extra side.
