Not using it for surveillance. Bought it as it was cheapest available :P . This HDD is going good. No complaints. I play games out of this drive without any issue. Though any productivity work like coding and applications are loaded via SSD.

I feel it is a good product can't say much since I am using this from past 3-5 days. I am using for home NAS system built using raspberry pi. So my usage is low-medium. Bought this as backup device for my primary hdd. I will update my review if any faults found.

They have delivered non functional hdd and declined to replace or return an item. They are blaming to me for non functional item and don't care for customer. Also they blaming me to violation of there policy regarding conditions of use. I went to segate service centre and they verified, hdd is non functional and they have replaced me. So people don't expect from Amazon to care of you and help all time. I have decided to never to purchase any item from Amazon

Value for Money, working well for my CCTVs at home. Got 1 Month of storage for my 8 IP cameras of 2MP.

This is a good product. This hard disk records clear video. It runs smooth and fast .

I had purchased this last year, but was able to put it to use only recently. It had come in a plastic cover. I also had the installation screws and power / SATA connectors needed; not sure whether it was sent with the HDD or the NVR. Did a DIY installation into the CP Plus NVR. Worked out of the box. The connectors must be installed carefully. I hear a very slight hum when the disk is spinning (to be sure this is all the time since it is recording 24x7). Otherwise working fine - I am able to record and review perfectly using the appropriate software. Edit: The HDD died after a couple of months of operation inside a CPPlus NVR box. Evidently could not take the load of continuous recording.

I'd say from my 3 days of experience this is working great. I've installed it in my DVR and it has good read & write speeds. Write is around 120-130mbps & read is 150-170 mbps I'd say it's only value for money if u get it around 6-7k no more than that. You can get it easily at cost to cost store at around 6700 but due to lockdown I had to buy it from here

Die drei 1 TB Seagate HDDs arbeiten im RAID 5 in einer QNAP NAS einwandfrei, sind leise im Dauerbetrieb. Zu empfehlen.

Bon rapport qualité/prix/capacité. Fonctionnement silencieux. Utilisé sur un DVR de vidéo-protection. Pas de souci depuis 1 mois. A voir dans le temps, mais je suis confiant. Surpris, cependant, que l'expédition du disque dur (dans une simple enveloppe Amazon en carton) a été effectuée sans précaution particulière, comme un peu de du papier-bulle autour, par exemple.
