Amazon Brand - Solimo 12-inch Plastic & Glass Wall Clock - Checkered (Silent Movement, Black Frame)

It gives a fairly majestic look to the wall it is hung in. The time is accurate - the most important part. The design it good, I like it. Actually bigger than what is shown in the product description at a glance. No ticking sound, the second hand is really silent.

I bought this clock with a bit of skepticism as I read several reviews where in customers mentioned that the clock stopped working after few days. So this review is posted after 4 days and if there is any change I will update it later.I am overall satisfied with the product. I bought it for looks of the clock. The product looks awesome for the price that we pay. It is light weight and runs on a single AA battery. There is a battery cover on the back. The brand just providing 1 year warranty. The three hands looks brittle, when I was adjusting the time all of them were bending a bit. The front glass is very reflective and if there is a light facing it then you will have tough time to align yourself to a suitable position before reading the time. The hole for hanging is at the edge of the clock, which is pretty good compared to other clocks. If it near the center we will have lot of difficulty.The time is not changing much, I have been observing it for 4 days now. So you can buy it for looks and value for money.

The solimo brand by Amazon doesn't guarantee performance as is in this case. The clock guzzles the battery like anything and still doesn't work. Even if the battery is present, runs at its own whims and fancies. Better buy a name brand such as HMT, Timex or Ajanta. They don't have fancy clocks like these but are super reliable.

Brought it for my daughter... She liked it very much... Best one in the market... Hope it will last long...

This is a long term review as the title suggests and I'm posting it so that the new buyers can take these point into consideration.I bought it in 2021 and I'm posting the review in 2023. Just 6 months after I bought this clock. It faced an issue once, it got 15 minutes slow. I corrected it, it worked fine then 1 month later again the same problem. I replaced the battery and it worked fine for few months but again the same issue, however after taking out the battery and putting it again the issue vanished temporarily but it persisted. Recently in November 2023 this issue became serious and now this clock stops after working for few hours and start again thereby becoming slow. I have to throw it away. In conclusion this solimo brand is not a durable brand compared to Ajanta, Oreva etc and this is the most pathetic clock I've ever used in my life.
